As Jordan and Dahlia sat together in their doctor's exam room, Jordan's leg couldn't stop bouncing from excitement.

"Is it February yet? I just wanna see her already!"

Dahlia smiled and gently gripped Jordan's knee.

"And how do you know we're having a girl?"

Jordan had a far-away look on his face for a moment, thinking about the future before he answered.

"I just know, Doll. I mean-- tea parties and princess sleepovers? I can't wait!"

"And what if she's into hockey or football like her daddy?"

"Then I'll be the first one there showing her how to throw the perfect spiral."

Jordan couldn't contain his excitement as he and Dahlia walked back to his car after their appointment.

"Okay, so now that we know she is on her way, can we please start decorating the nursery?"

Jordan's pout as he approached the passenger door on his car, tied with his excitement to see his daughter, had Dahlia ready to burst at the seams with happiness.

"Well... what were you thinki--"

"Okay, so I was thinking, a pastel yellow, you know? Nothing too bright. Then we could decorate with a castle filled with cute baby animals. Get monkey stencils, elephants-- I don't know-- what else is she gonna like?"

Dahlia smirked as she reached for the passenger-door handle, stopping once Jordan pulled it open for her. He gently hoisted her into her seat, standing between her legs as she kissed him sweetly.

"Jordy..."

Jordan sighed and shrugged happily, brushing the back of his fingers against Dahlia's cheek.

"I can't help it, Doll. Ever since you told me about the baby, all I've been able to think about is a little you running around, sucking me in with those big brown eyes. I just-- I can't wait to meet her."

Jordan looked down and touched Dahlia's belly with an awe-struck look on his face.

The director on set had just called for a final cut for the fast-food chain's commercial, thanking Jordan before telling everyone they were done for that project.

Jordan talked with a few crew members before heading back to his dressing room, a smile instantly making its way to his face as he saw Dahlia, napping on the couch.

He walked over quietly and sat with her on the couch, pushing a few stray hairs from her forehead before placing a kiss on her temple.

His heart melted as he watched Dahlia stretch and yawn as she woke up.

"Wake up, sleepy Doll."

Dahlia's eyes fluttered open and she saw a grinning Jordan watching her stretch and yawn.

"Hey... you all done?"

"Yeah. You ready to get outta here, Mamas?"

Dahlia nodded and as Jordan stood from the couch, he took her hand, in an attempt to help her up. That attempt was halted when she stopped moving and Jordan saw a look of slight confusion on her face.

"Oh-- whoa!"

"Doll? What's wrong?!"

"Babygirl's moving around. Oooh, it feels so weird."

Jordan's hand was instantly back on Dahlia's belly, his eyebrows knitted in confusion as he searched for the roaming baby.

After a minute or so of not being able to feel any movement, Jordan pulled back with slight disappointment written on his face.

Dahlia grabbed his hand, putting it back on her belly, smiling at Jordan sympathetically.

"Jordy, it's okay. The doctor said I'd be able to feel it on the inside before we could feel it on the outside. But, trust me-- she's going crazy in there."

Jordan's smile was once again brightened as he leaned in to kiss her belly.

"Is that right, Babygirl? Is Daddy's little place-kicker having practice early in there?"
