After watching Dahlia leave the airport with that little prick who's been after her since high school, Jordan had to get away. He felt like he couldn't breathe and that the only thing that would relax him was punching someone.

So after returning back to his room and talking to Marcus, the two decided to head to the gym on campus.

"It's all my fault. I fucked up and then I took too long to fix it and now-- now she's gone."

"Come on, Man. She's not gone. Y'all were together forever and a day. Shit like that-- there's no way she moved on."

"You were saying...?"

Marcus looked over at Jordan in confusion, then followed his line of sight and sighed, seeing Dahlia and Connor approaching the building.

"Shit."

Marcus' silent mumble caused Jordan to roll his eyes and shake his head. His eyes caught Dahlia's for a moment, and before he could feel his heart begin to implode, he tightened his lips and stared at Dahlia with an emptiness in his eyes.

All he could wonder about was how easy it must have been for her to completely forget about him. And after what Jordan had done, he didn't even blame her.

He blamed himself.

He blamed himself

The moment he stepped foot in the gym Jordan went straight into beast mode. Thinking back to the way Connor grabbed Dahlia's hand at the airport and that smug grin on his face was enough to make Jordan begin to see red and he was currently taking all of his frustrations out on the bicep-curl machine.

Marcus, who was using the machine next to him, gently set the handlebar down after he finished his last rep, a look of concern on his face.

"Dude, you gotta relax. Remember, you're supposed to be rehabbing that hand."

Jordan sighed, knowing Marcus was right, but he couldn't stop himself from pushing his limits, especially when Dahliabeing with Connor was all he could think about.

The stinging pain in his hand was honestly a welcomed feeling compared to the agony he felt inside, but he knew he needed to stop damaging his hand any further if he still hoped to have a football career.

Jordan eased up for the rest of his workout but kept internally reminding himself that he was nothing but a piece of shit.
