It's all come down to this.

All those hours spent on the field, in the gym, watching replays of old game footage, every moment sacrificed away from Dahlia-- it had all been for this moment.

As he held up the National College Football championship trophy, flashes went off around him and Jordan's grin swelled.

Jordan kissed the side of the trophy before handing it to Marcus, who did the same and the two watched as it made its way towards their head coach.

At that moment, Jordan was nearly on top of the world, celebrating with his teammates and the students who had come onto the field.

The only thing that was missing was the goddess who was shoving her way through the crowd, still trying to find her quarterback.

Jordan's eyes lit up in excitement as he finally spotted Dahlia in the crowd.

"Doll!"

Neither of them noticed the flashing of the photographer's taking pictures as they approached each other.

Jordan's eyes took in Dahlia, who was wearing a pair of white shorts and his jersey.

Once she saw him through the throng of people, Dahlia's smirk brightened.

"Congratulations, number eight. Knew you could do it."

Jordan's smile widened as he shook his head.

"Get your ass over here."

Dahlia was in Jordan's arms a moment later, whispering in his ear how proud she was of him. As the happy tears began to fall, neither seemed to be aware of the photographers still taking pictures of the two.

"Okay, we're definitely gonna need a bigger bed."

Dahlia nodded in agreement as she and Jordan laid in her bed, scrolling on her laptop, looking for furniture for their new place.

In just a few days, the duo was going to check out a place they both liked, a small starter in a quiet neighborhood, a bit away from the school.

Just then his phone dinged, causing him to shift, pulling it from out of his sweatpants pocket.

"What the...?"

"What?"

Dahlia looked over at Jordan in confusion, watching as his face contorted a bunch of different ways, before finally settling in on a wide grin.

"Jordan... babe-- what is it?"

"Remember when they announced this year that we, as players, would be getting paid...?"

"Yeah..."

"Doll... check this out."

Jordan handed Dahlia his phone and as she read the email, her eyes nearly doubled in size reading the email which stated that a payment of $425,000 had been transferred into Jordan's bank account from the school.

"Wait-- what the hell?!"

The smile on Jordan's face was enough to let her know that not only was this not a joke, but this was the moment their lives would be forever changed.
