"Come on, don't you wanna do something fun? I mean, it's Spring Break and your birthday. You can't just go home. That'll be sooo boring."

Dahlia shrugged off Kat's question as she continued scribbling in her notebook, following along with the professor as she jotted down notes.

The truth was, Dahlia's only plan for Spring Break was to go home to her dad's condo in Orlando, and lock herself in her room.

"I mean, I know you're bummed about Jordan, and I know you're used to him being around all the time--"

Dahlia cut Kat off with just a look. It was a warning that Kat knew meant she didn't want to go there.

"I just don't want you moping."

Dahlia nodded and sighed sadly, knowing Kat was right. The past two and a half months had been weird for Dahlia without Jordan.

Sure, they still had basically every class together, but they never spoke.

They barely made eye contact.

And for the past month and a half, Dahlia had noticed the pretty hazel-eyed girl with long, dark hair that Jordan had been hanging out with.

As if on cue, Dahlia turned, hearing the girl's giggle, before she looked over and saw something that made her want to puke.

The girl's head tilted over on Jordan's shoulder and her hand gently caressed his cheek.

They smiled at each other as if nothing else mattered, and Dahlia felt the floor caving in as questions filled her head.
