"No, Dad, I promise. I even talked to someone in the athletics department. The check is legit."

"Well, if you're sure. I know that playing professional football has been your dream since you were a little boy-- I just don't want something to ruin it."

Jordan smiled at his dad's sincerity over the phone and when he looked up, he saw Dahlia standing in front of him, sliding her phone into her pocket with her keys in her hand.

"Don't worry, Dad. Everything's on the up-and-up. But, listen, I gotta go. Me and Doll are meeting up with her Dad and his real estate agent. We're gonna go look at a couple of places."

"Alright, Kid. Let me know how it goes."

"I will, Pop. Love you."

"Love you, too."

Once he hung up with his father, Jordan followed Dahlia out to her truck, and soon the two found themselves parking on a quiet street in a small cul de sac.

Dahlia looked around, appreciating the quiet and stillness the neighborhood had and a few moments later she and Jordan were met by her father and his real estate agent, Bruce Thompson.

About twenty minutes later, as Bruce wrapped up the end of the tour, Dahlia, whose fingers were laced with Jordan's, gave his hand a small squeeze as she squealed in excitement.

"So, what do you think, Jordy? Do you like this place?"

As they stood in the unfurnished living room, Jordan began envisioning what the house could look like and smiled wildly, raising their entwined hands up to his face so he could kiss Dahlia's hand.

"I love it, Doll."

The two had bright smiles on their faces, and Jordan was ready to make an offer for the house when Dahlia's father spoke up, saying he'd already purchased the house for the couple, saying it was a gift for them and their future.

"Daddy, I can't believe you did this for us."

Mr. Winters smiled, wiping the tears from his daughter's cheek before he kissed her forehead.

"There's not a thing I wouldn't do for you Kiddo."

By mid-March, Jordan and Dahlia were settled into their new place, and they were both absolutely loving everything that came with living together.

Dahlia was in the living room, working on her electronic sketchpad when Jordan re-entered the house, tired from a morning workout with the team.

He lifted her from her spot on the couch and sat there himself, and as Dahlia straddled him, Jordan leaned in for a long, overdue kiss.

"So, I had a meeting with one of the PR people from the school today..."

"Oh, yeah? What'd they want?"

"Well... I've got a photoshoot this weekend..."

Dahlia's eyes widened in excitement as Jordan broke his news.

"Really?! Jordan, that's amazing!"

Jordan scratched the back of his neck and smiled up at Dahlia.

"Yeah, they wanna get some team shots in for next year. Guess they wanna get a headstart on posters and stuff."

"...And soon your face will be on the walls of millions of drooling girls."

Dahlia rolled her eyes as Jordan pulled her in for another kiss, resting his hands on her butt. When she pulled back, she brushed her nose against his.

"Too bad there's only one girl I want drooling over me."

"Come on, Jordan. Let's see that 'franchise' smile! The one everybody's gonna be focused on next season!"

The photographer on set was a ball of energy, directing Jordan into different poses, so he could get the perfect shots.

Dahlia was watching from a quiet spot on the set and was beaming with pride as Jordan showed off the championship trophy he'd won that season.

"There's the face that's gonna fill all those seats! Yes! Yes!!! Ooooh! Bring in the girls!"

Dahlia rolled her eyes, already knowing that a few of the cheerleaders were going to be in some of the shots.

She let out a silent huff as she noticed one of the girls getting particularly close to Jordan. With her chest pressed against him and her hands all over him, Dahlia scoffed, knowing there'd always be countless girls willing to throw themselves at Jordan.

But the quick smirk and wink he sent her, even from all the way across the room, was one designated only for her, letting her know that Dahlia was the only girl that Jordan would ever need.
