The words wear barely registering for Jordan as he paced the hallway, impatiently waiting in a set of scrubs to be with his wife.
It had been about thirteen-and-a-half minutes since she had been ripped from his arms and all Jordan could think about were all of the moments they had.
Every single kiss.
Every smile she'd sent him.
Every stupid fight they'd ever have.
Even all that time they spent apart after that kiss with Rachel, Jordan would do anything to get those moments back. Even if it meant she went back to hating him, at least she'd be safe.

After being allowed into the operating room, Jordan's heart fell as he saw Dahlia laying there, unconscious.
Jordan took the place he was instructed to, near Dahlia's head, as the procedure continued.
He kissed her scrub-covered head and closed his eyes as he listened to the beeping from the machines that Dahlia was hooked up to.
"I love you, Doll."

About ten minutes later, Jordan's world felt like it was stopping all over again.
Tears were streaming down his face as he watched the doctors, beginning to all come together, announcing that she was coming.
He watched in awe as his daughter entered the world. He could see a thick head of dark hair on her tiny head as the nurse took her to be cleaned and dressed.
Watching from over the nurse's shoulder, Jordan's heart swelled as Sunny eyes began to adjust to the light, blinking rapidly as she looked around.
A yawn escaped her lips as she stretched, and at that moment, Jordan knew that the tiny bundle on the weighing table would always have him wrapped around her finger.
Rapid beeping began behind him and Jordan turned to see the doctors rushing around Dahlia.
"Shit-- she's hemorrhaging again. Come on, Dahlia-- stay with us."
"Doll... baby?"
Jordan's attempts to approach Dahlia were halted when a nurse grabbed Jordan's arm, pulling him away.
"Sir... sir... sir! You can't be in there right now."
"But--but Doll, she--"
The nurse had almost pulled Jordan out of the operating room, when he finally started to resist, forcing himself back over to his wife.
Suddenly, a larger, male nurse rushed over, overpowering Jordan, until he was able to finally remove Jordan from the operating room.
The last thing he heard as he was dragged out was the bone-chilling flatline beeping, causing Jordan to turn back in horror.
"Doll... no!!!!!"
