"I bet you can't climb up this part!"Tristan jumped onto the tire swing, then moved onto the rope wall, easily scaling the side of the tree fort Daddy installed for me.
Tristan, Nate, and I were all hanging out in the backyard while Mommy and Daddy were chatting with Tristan's parent's on the deck, watching us.
I jumped onto the swing, and held onto it with a shaky grip, feeling it wobbling beneath me as I found my balance.
"Be careful, Bunny."
I smiled up at Daddy but was glaring the next moment after Tristan opened his mouth.
"Yeah, Bunny. Be careful."
I rolled my eyes and braced myself, ready to jump for the ropes when, when I slipped, barely reaching them at all.
I clung to them for a second, frantically flailing my legs. My left ankle got caught, getting wrapped around a corner knot. As I tried to pull myself up, the hold on my ankle became tighter.
"Oww!!! I can't move."
Mommy and Daddy were on the deck, too far to really hear my screaming sound any different when I was playing.
Tristan reached for my hands, yanking them as he tried to pull me onto the first landing.
"Unwrap her ankle Nate."
Nate, who was standing near the tire, grabbed my ankle, tugging on it as he tried to loosen the binding.
"It hurts!"
Tristan could see the fear and pain on my face and suddenly began screaming at his brother.
"Nate, hurry up! What's wrong with you?!"
"I'm trying, Tristan!"
"No, you're getting her stucker! All you do is mess things up!"
A second later, Daddy had me in his arms, alleviating the pressure of being pulled in two different directions. After finally releasing my ankle, he set me on the ground, where I proceeded to half-run, half-limp back into the house.

Daddy found me a few minutes later in my playroom. I was striking at the keys on the piano Auntie Kat got me as an early birthday present.
"What's wrong, Bunny?"
I shrugged, keeping my eyes on my finger as it struck each key one by one.
Daddy sighed and followed my movements, playing each key right after I played it.
"I thought you were having a good time with Nathan and Tristan."
I shrugged again, picking up my small microphone as a distraction.
I still didn't want to look at Daddy; sometimes, it was like he could just tell that something was bothering me... just by the look on my face.
"I did! Nathan's nice, and Tristan's..."
"Yeah...?"
I sighed and shrugged again, setting my microphone down.
"I just don't feel good, Daddy."
Daddy nodded, and kissed my forehead, before getting off the floor, eyeing me once more before heading for the door.
"Alright, Bun. I'll tell everybody that the playdate's over."
Daddy left the room and I reached down, rubbing my ankle before wincing and looking down at it, seeing the red ring starting to form around it.
