The incessant knocking on the door finally tore Jordan out of his bed after a few moments. All he wanted was to go to sleep and let the pain killers deaden the numbing pain he was still feeling in his hand, head, and heart.

When he opened the door, he was nearly knocked on his ass. He wasn't expecting to see Dahlia standing in his doorway anytime soon, if ever again, so having her in front of him had thrown Jordan off.

"What are you doing here?"

"I-- Nevermind... I'll leave."

Dahlia turned to walk away, feeling like an idiot. She wasn't exactly sure why she went downstairs to talk to Jordan, but by his reaction, she could pretty much tell that he didn't care either way.

"Doll, wait!"

Jordan reached out, latching his fingers gently around Dahlia's wrist, turning her around to face him. She kept her eyes on his chest for a moment before looking up at him, her chin trembling in anxiousness.

"I'm just surprised to see you. Do you- do you wanna come in?"

Dahlia bit her lip and nodded and as Jordan allowed her into his room, she stopped in the middle of the room turning around to look at him.

It was the closest they'd been since that night in December when Jordan trampled all over Dahlia's heart.

Where there'd usually be sweet kisses and cute moments, there was now a gut-wrenchingly awkward silence between the two, a silence Jordan would give anything to go back to how things were.

Dahlia's eyes bounced around the room until they stopped on Jordan's hand, noticing the bright red cast around his right hand. His eyes followed hers and shame suddenly filled his body when he saw what she was looking at.

"What happened?"

"Guess you could say I haven't been having the greatest month. Been kinda frustrated, ya know?"

Jordan nodded back to his now smashed-in closet door, causing Dahlia's eyes to widen and her mouth to drop open.

"Jordan!"

The desperation in Jordan's eyes when he down up at Dahlia was obvious and he knew this was his moment to lay everything out on the line. He would never be able to forgive himself if he didn't at least try.

"Doll, this has been... the worst month of my life, and I know that's my fault. I broke us, and it was the dumbest thing I could've ever done. All I want-- All I need is a chance to fix us. Let me show you that something like this will never happen again."

Dahlia sighed and looked up at Jordan until the aching in her heart started again and she had to look away, sadly nodding her head.
