Paint the Town Red - The Mahones

-----Flashback-----

For this first time in two years, Mina was with her brother. The newest member of the Sons of Anarchy picked up his little sister. Her first time riding a motorcycle wasn't as terrifying as she thought it would be.

Before they left, he put his cut with the new patches into the saddlebag of his bike. Mina smiled as they rode, holding onto her brother. They stopped at a red light and an SUV stopped next to them. He looked over and saw a man with a mask and wild blue eyes, aiming a gun at them. Stefan drove off as fast as he could, trying to get away.

The back tire got shot out and he swerved into the guard rail. Mina got thrown from the bike, landing on a metal post, ripping through her side. She started screaming from the pain. Stefan looked over, dodging bullets left and right. Then, he heard someone pull over.

A few miles back, Chibs was riding home when he saw billows of smoke filling the air. He sped up, assuming it wasn't a bonfire. When he got there, he saw an SUV shooting at a guy on a motorcycle. He grabbed his gun and ran at them.

"Hey!" he yelled.

They got spooked and got back in, driving away. Stefan stood up, not knowing what happened. He started towards Mina when his bike exploded, sending him flying in the air.

Chibs ran over to him. "Ah, sh*te," he sighed. "Hey, man. You're gonna be a'right." He looked over him and saw he was shot twice in the side and had internal bleeding from how he landed. "F*ck, you're gonna be a'right."

"Go...go...Min..." Stefan stuttered, coughing up blood. He pointed over to Mina. "Please. My...sister. Please."

"Your sister?" Chibs looked over at Mina, who had stopped screaming from passing out. He thought she was dead.

He coughed again, "Please."

Chibs tried to move him away from the flames, but he yelled at him to go to Mina. He ran over to her and knelt next to her. "Hey, darlin'," he sighed, leaning down to hear if she was breathing. There was a second explosion from the bike. Chibs turned around and saw the kid blown up on the ground.

"No," she cried. "No, God, no!" She started screaming again.

"Hey, hey, hey, gotta calm down," he said, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Listen, this is gonna hurt like hell, a'right? I'm sorry." She stared up at the man surrounded by flames, telling her something was going to hurt. He pulled the metal rod the rest of the way out of her. "I'm sorry," he said, putting his hand on the wound. She started screaming louder and he started swearing. "Aw, sh*te," he yelled, underestimating the amount of blood that was going to pour out of her. He pulled off his scarf and wrapped it around her stomach and pulled it tight. "You're gonna be a'right, love." he groaned, picking her up.

She whispered, "Thank you," and then passed out.

He carried her over to his bike. Holding her close to his chest with one hand, he rode with the other. Saying a little prayer, he rode to the hospital as fast as he could.

Carrying her into the emergency room, he yelled, "Hey! Need some help here!" Nurses came running over with a gurney and brought her back to the operating room.

Looking down at his hands, he walked into the bathroom to clean the blood off. Staring in the mirror, he looked at the Belfast patch on his cut that he was hoping would be Redwood Original. Looking up at his face, at the healed over scars he hated for ten years, his face was covered in blood.

Wiping it away, he couldn't stop thinking about the kid who had died. Her brother. Her brother was begging him to save her.  That poor girl, when she wakes up, if she wakes up, her brother's dead, her life is changed, forever.
