Every Breath You Take - The Police

-----

Mina was terrified to go to the ultrasound, especially without Chibs being there. She sat in the chair, looking over at the screen. It didn't look like anything to her. She had been reading everything she could get her hands on and read that it was the size of a grain of rice. Before the appointment, she asked Chibs how she was supposed to see it and he said she'll be able to.

You f*cking liar, I can't see shit, she thought staring at it.

They printed out a picture of it for her to take with her. Walking out to the car, she kept looking at it. Dropping it in her purse, she pulled open the car door. As she started the car, she called Chibs.

"Hey, darlin'," he chuckled. "How'd it go?"

"It went alright. Baby's fine. Heard the heartbeat," she smiled.

He laughed, "How was it?"

Mina chuckled, "It was a heartbeat alright. No doubt about that. Got the due date."

"Aye? And?"

"February 17th," she sighed, "Seven and a half more months."

Chibs chuckled, "Our little Aquarius." He exhaled smoke from his cigarette. "Charlie moved out today?"

"Yes, sir, she is gone," Mina laughed.

"Thank Christ," he groaned.

She asked, "When're you getting home?"

"Couple of hours."

Mina smiled, "Great. What do you want for dinner tonight?"

"You."

She laughed, "That's not food. Pick a food."

"I don't want food."

"You need food, baby."

Chibs chuckled, taking a drag of his cigarette. "I don't need food. I need you."

"Guess I'm picking dinner."

He sighed, "Picture this: you on a silver platter and me having a three course meal."

"I hate you," she laughed.

"You love me."

Mina heard Jax yelling about something. "Everything okay over there?"

"Aye, but I gotta go."

"Okay, love you," she sighed.

He chuckled, "Love ya too."

Mina drove the rest of the way home thinking about how much they're relationship had grown in the two weeks since her birthday. Everything was back to normal, and then some. They were happily in love.

She pulled into the driveway and shut off the car. As she walked in, she heard the rumble of an engine drive past her house. The first thing she did was put the picture on the refrigerator. Staring at it a moment, she put her hand on her stomach, smiling.

Opening up the fridge, she grabbed a bottle of water and then walked toward the bedroom. She kicked off her shoes and picked up her sweatshirt that she had left on the bed.

After getting dinner started and cooking, she decided to take a shower before Chibs got home. She danced to the music on the radio while finishing up her hair. When she stepped out, she saw her phone was ringing. Grabbing it, she saw it was Charlie and put it on speaker phone.

"Hey, are you home?" Charlie asked, hurriedly.

Mina dried her hair. "Yeah, why?"

"Okay good. Just curious. Maybe I'll come over for coffee."
