Chapter 83: All Over You

All Over You - Live

"Can we talk?" he asked. Mina nodded as he shook Jessica off his arm. He smiled, looking down at Mina, staring into her eyes.

Jessica fixed her shirt and looked at Mina. "You good?" She nodded again, not looking away from Chibs. Jessica sighed, feeling the tension in the room. She said to Mina, "I'll call you later?" Mina nodded once more. She walked out, leaving the two of them alone.

Mina walked past him and sat down on the couch. He caught a whiff of the honey and lavender soaps she used, two scents he didn't realize how much he missed. He sat down next to her and put his elbows on his knees. 

"You want to start or should I?" Mina asked.

"I'll start," he said, turning to face her. "I'm sorry." Mina shook her head. "No...I am so sorry. I'm so sorry for everythin'. The sh*te after...ya know," he gestured, not saying that he was kidnapped. "...after Bobby, and then the sh*te with the teacher and Althea and Jackie. I'm so sorry." She shook her head again, starting to tear up. He grabbed her hand and said, "I didn't have anythin' for Althea, no feelin's, nuthin'. I told her we were done." He reached for her other hand, holding both in between them. "I'm sorry, love. I'm so sorry I did this to ya."

She started crying, looking down at her lap. She could tell he was genuine. "I know you are," she whispered. Still looking down, she spoke quietly, "I have to tell you something."

"What?" He put his hand under her chin, pulling her gaze up to his eyes. "What's wrong?"

Mina looked into his eyes as she spoke. "I'm...I'm four weeks along. I'm pregnant."

"You're what?" he asked, looking into her big, blue eyes he couldn't live without.

She sighed, "I'm pregnant."

"And it's...?" She nodded. A smile grew on his face. "Holy sh*te."

Mina looked at him, not expecting him to be smiling. Be then she remembered who she was talking to: Chibs. Her Chibs. Not the guy who had been around her for the last two and a half weeks, but her sweet and kind boyfriend she loved. 

Chibs snapped her out of her thoughts when he pulled her into a hug. She could feel his body tremble as he wrapped his arms around her. When he pulled away, she saw tears in his eyes.

He chuckled, "I thought ya looked a wee bit bigger."

She chuckled, looking at his goofy, excited face. She stared into his eyes as he leaned down, putting his hand on her stomach. "What're you doing?" she laughed.

"Shh," he whispered, keeping his hand on her stomach. "I think it's a girl." Mina started laughing even harder. "What? I do," he chuckled.

After a few minutes, Mina asked, "So, what does this mean...about us?"

Chibs sighed, rubbing her hand with his thumb. "What d'ya want it to mean?"

"Well, like, do you want to get back together?"

He nodded, " 'Course I do. But, if you don't, I understand." He looked down at their hands as he spoke.

Mina shook her head and sighed, "I do...but if we do, this sh*t can't happen again." Chibs nodded, looking back up at her. "I'm not gonna sit here, pregnant, while you're out doing whatever and whoever you want."

He nodded, "I'm not doin' that sh*te ever again. I promise ya."

"But..." she paused. She looked back up at him, shaking her head. "No, nevermind."
