Plush - Stone Temple Pilots

"Maybe I overreacted," Mina sighed, looking down at her desk.

"Maybe?" Jessica chuckled. "Mina, nothing happened!"

She dropped her head, smacking it on her desk. "What am I supposed to do?"

Jessica laughed, "How about apologize for accusing him of cheating?"

"F*ck, you're right."

"I know I'm right," Jessica sighed, getting another cup of coffee. She wasn't planning on Mina having a crisis that early in the morning.

Mina picked up her phone and called Chibs. It went straight to voicemail. She tried again and got the same result.

"At the tone, please record your message..."

She got a deja vu of all the times she called him while he was gone, all the times she cried into the phone, all the times she said she missed him.

"Hey, Chibs. I'm really sorry. I-I f*cked up. Please, call me back. I'm really sorry, baby," she sighed, hanging up. "He's pissed at me, I know it."

Jessica scoffed, "Can you blame him?"

Chibs walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. He saw his phone was ringing and had two missed.

"Aye?" he answered. "Ah, Jesus. All of them? Yeah." Althea walked out behind him, taking the joint from his hand. She laid down on the bed, taking a hit. "Yeah, okay, I'll be there!" He closed his phone.

"What's up?" she asked.

He pointed his phone at her. "I gotta go."

She chuckled, "Okay..."

As he got dressed, he sighed, "Ya know, uh...you should...you should probably get dressed, too." He fastened his belt and picked up his phone. Althea sighed and started getting dressed.

"You have one new voice message: Hey, Chibs. I'm really sorry-" He closed his phone again, stopping the sound of Mina's voice. He didn't want to hear it. He was the one that screwed up, so he didn't want to hear her apologize.

Chibs rode to Red Woody to get it ready for a lockdown. He asked Gemma to pick Mina up from school.

Gemma knocked on the office door. "What're you doing here, Gemma?" Mina asked, standing up to close the door.

"We're going on lockdown. Some sh*t happened last night," she sighed.

"Yeah, I know. Scoops blew up; I was there."

Gemma shook her head. "Diosa got shot up. Everyone there was killed," she whispered. "We gotta go now."

Mina sighed, "Holy sh*t, everyone?" Gemma nodded and looked over noticing Jessica for the first time. "She's fine," Mina whispered. "Just give me a minute."

Mina walked away to talk to her boss and explain another emergency that she had to leave for. He told her that this was the last time she could leave without getting some penalty. When she walked back in, she found Jessica pinned against the wall and Gemma's hand around her throat.

"Listen to me, Coach," Gemma growled, "You tell anyone what you've heard, and you won't have to worry about the club. You'll have to worry about me." Mina pulled Gemma off her and Jessica hunched over trying to breathe. "Don't forget that."

"Jesus, Gemma," Mina groaned, looking over Jessica's neck at the bruise forming on it. "You okay, Jess?" She frantically nodded as she went to her desk and grabbed her inhaler. Mina looked up at Gemma and sneered, "I'll meet you outside."
