Even Flow - Pearl Jam

-----

Mina laid in bed, spending most of the day crying. Chibs felt awful leaving her but they had a meeting with Alvarez and Connor about problems with the guns they were moving. She swore up and down that she would be fine, but as soon as he left, the world collapsed around her.

Chibs sat in the office of Red Woody, listening to the two of them drone on and on about everything. He just wanted it to end, wanted to go home, but still, he sat listening to Alvarez and Connor argue about anything they could discuss.

"We need those guns, man," Alvarez said. "It's been almost a month since you got the guns to Stockton."

Connor sighed, "You doubled the order. I'm tryin' to get as many guns as fast as I can without raisin' the price."

Alvarez leaned forward in his seat, staring down Connor. "I need those guns. Made a lot of promises based on them."

Chibs scratched his forehead, annoyed that this conversation was still going on. "Why don't ya move as many as ya can now and then the rest when they get here?"

"Because we need the amount in full," Alvarez sighed.

"Can ya lessen the amount you need?" he asked, shrugging his hands. "There's no way to cut it down?"

Alvarez said, "I'll see what I can do."

"All I need is a bit of time, brother," Connor nodded.

"I gave you a lot of time," he scoffed.

Chibs leaned back in his chair as they argued about whose fault it was that the guns weren't there and how they needed a better schedule and order size. He zoned out and let them figure it out themselves. The Sons weren't involved in the deal, he was only there as a middle ground.

His thoughts wandered as Alvarez started yelling at Connor. He started thinking about Mina and the struggle she was going through at home by herself. He just wanted to get back and be there for her.

By the time they worked something out and left, Chibs left the office heading for the bar. Lyla was editing her latest film and Tig was sitting at the bar, drowning his sorrows.

"What's your problem?" Chibs asked, grabbing a bottle of scotch.

Tig sighed, "A sh*tty past haunting me again."

"What're ya talkin' about?" he chuckled.

"If I tell you, you'll hate me," he said, finishing his beer.

Chibs set his glass down and looked at him. "Why would I hate ya?" Tig shook his head and leaned forward. "What the f*ck did ya do?"

Tig looked over at him, tears in his eyes. "I think you know what I'm talking about. We were both there." Chibs looked at him questioningly. "I killed Mina's brother."

"You son of a bitch," Chibs yelled, charging towards him. He grabbed his hair and slammed his head down on the bar. "You son of a bitch!"

He tackled him off the stool and sat on top of him, punching him in the face over and over again. Tig didn't fight back at all. Chibs held him by his cut and dropped him on the floor. He stood up and grabbed his bottle, taking a long pull.

Lyla stood up and walked over to them. "Get out," Chibs ordered, finishing the bottle. "Get the f*ck out!" he snapped.

Tig stood and groaned, "I'm sorry, man. I'm so sorry."

Chibs picked him up, holding him against the bar. "What did ya say?"

Tig looked up at him. "I'm sor-"
