Chibs yelled, "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" pulling Mina into his arms. "Happy New Year!" He cupped her cheeks, pulling her into a kiss.

She laughed, running her fingers through his hair. "Happy New Year," she chuckled. 

Chibs released her and grabbed Happy and Jessica, and then Tig and Venus, pulling them off the couch. "Should auld acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot and days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne," he sang, swinging Mina's and Happy's arms back and forth.

"I think it's time for you to call it a night," Mina laughed, looking up at Chibs.

"Pfft," he slurred, "I'm fine!"

She shook her head, "No, you're not," chuckling. "You're a mess."

He looked over to Tig who was just nodding at him. "How 'bout I just sit down?" he bartered.

"Sure," she nodded. Chibs dropped down on the couch and pulled her down next to him. 

About an hour later, their four guests left, leaving Mina to tend to the drunken Chibs. He was asleep on the couch and she decided to let him be. Covering him up with a blanket, she leaned down and kissed his forehead.

As she was walking away, Chibs reached out and grabbed her hand. "Where ya goin'?" he asked, not opening his eyes. 

"To bed," she whispered. "You wanna stay down here?" she asked, leaning down to brush his hair off his face. 

"No, I'll come up," he yawned. 

She sighed, "Okay, baby." Chibs stood up and stumbled a little, catching himself on the wall. "You okay?" she asked, reaching out in an attempt to catch him, even though she couldn't. 

"Aye, I'm fine." He kept walking, holding onto the wall. 

After a few more stumbles on the stairs, he finally made it to the bedroom. Flopping down on his stomach, he passed out, snoring up a storm. Mina shook her head, staring down at him. She got her pajamas on and laid down next to him. He turned over, wrapping his arm around her waist, under her stomach, and rested his head under her arm. 

Mina chuckled, playing with his hair, "Now I know what it's like," as he tightened his grip on her, holding her close. She fell asleep a little after that. 

When she woke up the next morning, Chibs was laying on his side with his back to her. She shifted onto her side, putting her cheek on his bicep, sliding her hand down his forearm until it ended under his head. 

"Mornin'," he groaned. 

"Good morning," she smiled. "How're you feeling?"

He grumbled, "Like sh*te."

She kissed his shoulder and whispered, "Sorry, baby."

"Don't let me drink like that again please," he sighed.

"I'll try my best." She got out of bed and looked over at him. "Do you need anything?"

He shook his head, "Nah, I'm comin'."

Chibs sat up slowly, holding his head, and followed Mina out and down the stairs to the kitchen. He grabbed the Advil out of the cabinet and swallowed them down. Mina made them some breakfast as he sat down at the island. 

He rested his forehead on his arms and mumbled, "Happy New Year."

She chuckled, "What?"

"I don't remember sayin' it last night."
