Mina POV

-----

Tig brought me back to Gemma's house because Nero had to talk to Jax. The more I rode with Tig, the more normal it got for me, even though I still longed for it to be my Scotsman sitting in front of me. He just told me that they could hear Chibs being beaten on the other side of a message and I was trying to process that the best I could.

I had a feeling in my gut that when Chibs did come home, it might not actually be him. The man I was falling in love with could be left behind. I pushed that from my brain, knowing full well that he would be fine.

When we got to Gemma's house, I went straight back to the room I was sharing with Wendy. She had just gotten out of rehab about a week prior. I don't know why she was staying with Gemma; I always thought that they hated each other. I sat down on the floor and tried not to cry.

I had been thinking a lot about my last conversation with Chibs. "Why does this feel like you're saying goodbye?" I asked him that. Did he know that something was going to happen? He couldn't have; if he did, he wouldn't have texted me. I tried wrapping my head around our last conversation and how strange he was acting but ended up thinking about everything else. The night before in the car, the fun and stupid things we would do. I smiled at the thoughts, thinking about how great he was.

Wendy walked in, wearing a towel. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yeah," I nodded. "Sorry, I'll you some privacy."

"F*ck, you will," she said, taking my hands helping me up. She sat me on the bed and asked, "What's wrong?"

I shook my head, "I just miss him."

"I know, sweetie." She pushed a piece of hair off my face. "I know Jax and the club is doing everything they can to get him back. And I'm sure he misses the hell out of you." I chuckled, wiping the tears away. "He'll get back here soon."

"I hope so. I don't know how much longer I can go without him."

Wendy shook her head. "Don't start thinking that way. You gotta stay strong and be ready to be stronger when he gets back."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

She sighed, "He's gonna need you for support when he gets back." I nodded, knowing full well that he would probably shut me out before needing me. "I've known Chibs a long time now, and as strong as he is, he crumbles."

"What do you mean? What happened?"

She said, shaking her head, "That's not for me to tell you." Wendy stood up and went to her dresser. Grabbing some clothes, she said, "We need to get you out of this house."

I laughed, "Where would we go?"

"A bar, the mall, dinner, anything that isn't here." She got dressed and then stood in front of me. "Come on, don't have all night."

I chuckled and got off the bed. We walked outside to my car. Gemma glared at us as we walked but Nero calmed her. I drove under Wendy's command and we went to the mall. A much-needed but seemly unnecessary venture I really did need.

Chibs POV

-----

I woke up sitting in the same terrible chair. I didn't know how much time had passed but I knew I had to piss.

"Hello!" I screamed. "Anyone out there? Hello! I gotta piss!" I kept yelling until the door was thrown up.

Lou yelled, "What?"
