Movin Out (Anthony's Song) - Billy Joel

Mina POV

-----

We put a down payment on the house a month before we started moving in. Once Charlie broke into the house for a second time, Chibs wanted to leave as soon as possible. That was two weeks before we could move in.

I was excited to move in, but Chibs wouldn't let me help with anything. "You're carryin' an avocado as it is, ya don't need to carry anythin' else," he said, struggling to lift two boxes at once. He was trying to show off but failed when the top one fell on the floor. "Sh*te," he sighed, looking down at it.

I laughed, picking it up, "It's light," as I kissed his cheek and walked past him to the moving van.

"Why're you carrying that?" Happy asked rushing over to grab the box from me. "I got it."

"I can do it, Hap," I said.

He looked back and quickly said, "No, you can't." He gave the box to Ratboy who standing in the van. When he came back, he whispered, "President's orders."

I turned back to look at Chibs who was carrying three boxes that were bound to fall. He slid them into the van. As I stared at him, he looked back at me, throwing his hands up. "What?" he asked as he walked closer to me.

"You told them not to let me help?" I scoffed.

Chibs wrapped his arm across my shoulders and took a step away from the guys. "Darlin', you're four months along. You're not gonna lift this sh*te. We got it." He pulled me closer, kissing my temple.

"I can do something."

"Aye, ya can," he chuckled, "but you're not." He pulled me into a hug and said, "Just be excited! Tonight's our first night in a new house! Ya don't need to be worryin' about pickin' up boxes, love."

I nodded against his chest. "Yeah, you're right."

He chuckled, "I'm always right."

Standing up on my tiptoes, I kissed him. "Don't be an a*shole." He laughed against my lips as his hand slid down my back. While I broke the kiss, I asked, "May I at least pack the odds and ends around the house?"

"If ya must," he laughed, leaning down to kiss me again. "Aye, 'course, darlin'." I saw Jessica pull up in front of the house and shut her car off. She walked over to us, pushing her sunglasses up on top of her head. "What're ya doin' here?" Chibs chuckled.

"Came to help," she smiled. I saw her glance in Tig's direction and look back at us. "Where do you want me?"

I said, "Help me inside." The two of us walked into the almost vacant house. We went into the bedroom, grabbing a box to fill up the few things left in there. "What was that?" I asked.

"What was what?"

I laughed, "I saw you look at Tig."

She shrugged, sitting down on the floor. "It was nothing." I looked up at her, smirking. She scoffed, "It was nothing."

"Okay," I chuckled. "I don't believe you, but okay." As I filled the box, I asked, "What happened with you two anyway?"

Jessica laughed, running her fingers through her hair. "I mean...we...we slept together...months ago. It's been...awkward since then."

"When did you guys even sleep together?" I asked, chuckling.

"The day after we went out drinking." She rubbed her forehead then pulled her hands over her face. "I shouldn't have done it, I know that. I knew that I'd see him again. But, like, I don't know. F*ck," she groaned.
