Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue
-----

It was the first day back to school. The summer had come and gone, making Mina realize that she didn't want to go back to work. She had quit in August only a few weeks before moving into the new house.

Mina felt bad that she wasn't going back only because she'd miss seeing Jessica every day. Sitting on the new stool in front of the island, she stared down at the counter wondering if she had made the right decision to leave.

Chibs walked into the kitchen and saw the pensive look on her face. "Ya a'right, love?" he asked as he sat down next to her. Gently, he placed his hand on her back, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Hmm?" Mina mumbled, turning toward him. "What'd you say?"

"You okay?" She nodded and went back to staring. "What's wrong?"

Mina sighed, "Do you ever feel like you made the wrong decision about stuff?"

"Like what?"

"Do you think I made the right decision leaving work?" She asked looking down at her hands. "I feel like I shouldn't have done that."

He chuckled, "Why? Go back if ya think that ya should. I want you to do whatever makes ya happy, love."

Mina shook her head and turned towards him. "I don't know what to do. It's too late to go back to work. I don't know what's right anymore. I only know you and me is right. That's what makes me happy."

"Then, don't go back," he smiled. "But, if you want to, go back. Whatever ya want to do, love, I'll be behind ya."

She groaned, "I don't know." Leaning over, she put her head on his shoulder. Chibs wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Mina weighed out her options one last time and then blurted out, "I'm not going back."

"Okay, darlin'," he nodded. They sat for a moment, quietly breathing, when Mina jumped out of nowhere. "What's wrong?"

She grabbed his hand and put it on her stomach. "Do you feel that?" she laughed. "The cucumber is kicking!"

Chibs felt the kick under her skin and then laughed. "Look at that," he chuckled. "Hey, wee one." Mina watched him as he stared down at her stomach, grinning from ear to ear. He ran his hand over her stomach, lightly stroking it. He felt another kick under his hand and he laughed, looking up at Mina. "Did ya feel that?" he asked, his voice cracking a little. Tears filled his eyes as he kept laughing and held her stomach.

"Are you okay, baby?" she chuckled, cupping his cheek.

He nodded, still looking at her stomach. "We're havin' a kid. Like, actually havin' a baby," he laughed. "This is real."

Mina nodded, "I know." She put her hand on top of his. He leaned forward and rested his forehead on hers. "I love you," she chuckled, looking up at him.

"I love ya more," he smiled, tipping his head down to kiss her. He leaned down and kissed her stomach and whispered, "And I love you, too." She laughed and ran her fingers through his hair.

"I think I made the right decision," she smiled as she leaned down and kissed his head.

They sat, feeling the continuous kicks for about twenty minutes. Chibs' phone went off and he ripped it off the counter. He saw it was Tig and looked up at Mina. "Sorry, love. I gotta take this."

She smiled and said, "It's okay, baby." As Chibs walked away, Mina looked down at her stomach, holding her hands in the spot the kicks were coming from. "You're having a busy day today, aren't you?" she chuckled.
