Desire - U2

-----

Mina kept her arms wrapped around Chibs' waist, holding on tight. As they rode through the streets of Charming, she put her face in the back of his cut to block out the headlights. Chibs kept checking the mirrors, making sure no one was coming up behind them. He told Mina if something happens, to duck and cover, and he'd tell her when to get out of there. The more he checked the mirrors, the more he realized they should've stayed at Red Woody.

The same pair of headlights were following them as they went. Instead of going to Mina's house, he kept driving.

"What're you doing?" she asked over the road noise.

"Checkin' somethin' out." Focused more on the mirror than the road, Chibs watched them round the corner. "Sh*t! Hold on, darlin'."

Mina tightened her grip as he sped up down the street, trying to lose the car that was rapidly catching up to them. The car sped up next to them, trying to cut them off. But Chibs hit the brake, skidding across the road. The car stopped down the street from them pushing the doors open.

Chibs shook Mina's grip loose and stood up, pulling his gun. They aimed their guns back at him. They stared at each other, guns drawn between them. Mina stayed behind Chibs as he spoke.

"What're ya doin' here?" he asked the two Mayans.

"We just want her," the one said, pointing around Chibs. One Mayan had a shaved head and the other had long black hair.

Chibs laughed, "Are ya f*ckin' serious?" The bald one stepped forward, making Chibs adjust his aim, straightening his arms more.

"Listen, old man, we just want to have some fun," he said.

Mina gripped the back of Chibs' cut as if that would protect her more. "Chibs," she whined.

"You're not gonna have fun with her," Chibs said.

"Let's just go, man," the one with the long hair said.

The bald one looked at him. "It's fine, Riz."

"Ya should listen to your friend," Chibs sighed.

"What? Ya scared, old man?" he chuckled, taking another step forward.

Chibs lifted his gun and put it on his forehead. "Am I scared?" The bald guy put his gun under Chibs' chin. "Swallow your tongue, b*tch?"

"What'd ya call me, old man?"

"Call me 'old man' one more time and see what happens," Chibs growled.

Riz said, "Creeper, let's go."

Creeper turned a little, looking over his shoulder. "Calm down."

Chibs punched him in the face, sending him to the ground. Creeper dropped his gun and tried reaching for it, but Chibs put his foot on his wrist. Riz aimed his gun up at Chibs, taking another step closer.

"Ya better back the f*ck up unless ya want a bullet in your boy's head!" Chibs yelled.

Riz took a step back and said, "Let him go, man."

"Drop the gun," Chibs ordered. "Drop the gun! Or I'll shoot him and keep him from runnin' to his momma for help!

"My mom's dead," Creeper groaned.

A blue car came flying down the road and slammed on the brakes next to Chibs. Nero got out and looked at him. "Let them go, mano."

Chibs still stared at Riz. "They ain't gettin' away this sh*te, brother."
