So Much To Say - Dave Matthews Band

------

"Jesus, guys," Jessica smiled, "she's beautiful," as she held the newborn in her arms. She looked up at the two of them sitting in the hospital bed, Chibs sitting behind Mina's back. "Absolutely beautiful."

Tig was standing behind her, looking down at the sleeping baby. "Just glad she looks like Mina and not her father," he chuckled. Jessica handed him Cait, and he scooped her into his arms. "Hia, Caitie Girl."

Mina leaned her head back against his chest, closing her eyes for a moment. Chibs looked down at her and wrapped his arms around her stomach. He leaned down and kissed her temple, making her smile. Resting his cheek on the side of her head, he squeezed her a little bit, making her smile even wider.

Jessica smiled at the two of them as Happy stepped over and knelt beside her. She grabbed his hand that was on the armrest, holding it tightly in hers. Chibs glanced over at them as they sat, looking at each other. He knew that look all too well.

"Chibs," Mina whispered, breaking his short stare. "When're we going home?"

They went home two days later and Mina couldn't be more excited to be back home. Chibs carried in the baby carrier where Cait was sound asleep, her favorite new hobby. He set her down on top of the counter and they looked down at her.

Chibs pulled Mina into a hug and chuckled, "Now what?"

"I have no idea," she sighed. Cait woke up and started crying, an ear-piercing scream. "There you go," Mina said, plugging her ear.

"Shh," Chibs hushed, picking Cait up out of the carrier. "It's a'right, my little love." She kept screaming in his ear as he tried to calm her down. "What's the problem, huh?" he asked, bouncing her up and down.

Mina laughed, "How'd that work out for you?"

"Well, I thought it would work," he sighed.

"Chibs, she's probably hungry."

He asked, "How d'ya know?"

She took Cait and said, "I don't, but we're gonna go see," in a baby voice that seemed to calm her down. "Look at that," she chuckled, brushing past Chibs. Mina took Cait upstairs to the nursery to feed her and he trudged behind her. She sat in the rocking chair and fed her while Chibs puttered around the room, trying not to look over at them. When she was done, Mina sighed, "Chibs," and he turned to look at her. "Can you burp her so I can fix myself?"

" 'Course," he said, taking Cait from her. Patting her back lightly until she burped, he chuckled, "We're not doin' terrible, are we?" Mina looked up at him and laughed, shaking her head. He pulled Cait away from his shoulder and held her up. "Right? We're not doin' terrible." As he held her, she spit up on him, making him gag. "Oh, sh*te, Mina, take her, take her." He kept gagging, holding the baby out towards Mina. "Take her!"

Mina laughed, taking Cait from Chibs' hands. He was choking on the smell that was all over him. He carefully pulled off his shirt, trying to not let it get in his hair as Mina bounced the baby in her arms.

"Isn't Daddy so silly?" she cooed, watching Chibs struggle. "Yeah, he is. He really is so silly."

"You're not funny," he groaned, walking into the bathroom. He scrubed his neck, trying not to vomit from the smell.

Mina laid her down in the crib and walked down the hall towards the bathroom. She watched Chibs as he furiously cleaned himself. "You good, baby?" she laughed, leaning on the door frame.

"Most smells don't bother me," he sighed, looking in the mirror making sure he didn't miss anything. "That f*ckin' killed me."

She laughed, "You can't handle vomit?"
