Crush - Dave Matthews Band

-----

Mina's phone rang in the kitchen and she came sprinting out of her room. Catching her breath, she answered, "Hello?"

"Hey, darlin'," he sighed.

"Hi," she smiled, "Is everything alright?"

Chibs chuckled, "Yeah, everythin's fine. Just got a little bit held up. Is ten-thirty okay?"

"Yeah," she smiled. "That's fine. We can plan a different day if you want to."

He laughed, "Absolutely not." She chuckled. "Alright, see ya then."

"Okay, bye." She set her phone down on the counter. Thinking about everything, she wondered what he had planned. It was a little after eight-thirty and she wanted to start getting ready.

Chibs closed his phone and walked back into the chop shop. The club went where the cops told them they could pick up their bikes. They were waiting for them to get there. Jax joked about calling the police when they found stolen merchandise. They found Juice's bike taken apart already and all of the stolen bikes that the Eden cops were talking about.

They finally showed up an hour after they got the call from Pagone. They were calling his name and Pagone said, "In here!" where he and the club were waiting.

"Sh*t," the officer said, as Happy and Quinn took their guns. Bobby recruited Montez, Quinn, and West to transfer into SAMCRO.

Jax said, "No need for guns, boys," while rolling a joint. "We're all friends now."

"They made me call you," Pagone groaned.

"Yes, we did," Jax said. "We also took pictures of all these vehicles, just in case we need to return them to their rightful owners." He lit his joint, slowing walking towards them from the back of the garage.

Tig chuckled, "Did you know that these are the bikes that you said were stolen? And we found them all right here! I mean, how crazy is that?"

"What do you want?" the officer asked.

"First of all, leaving all this sh*t here, that's just stupid and lazy."

"Yeah, if you're gonna go outlaw, boys, use half a brain," Bobby groaned, "I mean, you're making us all look bad."

Chibs and Juice were sitting on two of the stolen bikes. Chibs asked, "Which one do you want, Juicy?"

Juice sighed, "This one's good." It was a black bike with gold glitter covering it.

"He's gonna take Liberace's bike," Jax said. "Don't worry. We'll change the numbers ourselves. What I need you to do is make sure that none of the sh*t that happened today comes back to bite us in the ass, or all of this goes very public."

"Okay, yeah." The officer shrugged.

"And..." Jax pointed, holding the joint between two fingers, "I need you both to apologize to all my guys for your behavior today." He was standing next to both of the cops.

"You got to be kidding me," the other officer said.

Jax punched him in the face and he fell to the ground. He asked, "Do you think I'm kidding?" to the officer still standing.

The club laughed as they walked outside. They sat on their bikes in a line as the cops walked past them. "Sorry for my behavior today," they said to each member individually. Bobby and Jax laughed as they went.

"It is good to be back!" Bobby chuckled.

"Get home safe," Jax smiled to the cops, putting his helmet on.

They pulled onto the road and drove back to Charming. Breaking off, they all went their separate ways home.

Chibs pulled into Mina's driveway a few minutes before ten-thirty. He walked up the porch and knocked on the door. He stood, smoking a cigarette while waiting for her.

Mina took a shower after hanging up with Chibs. She slipped on tight, dark blue jeans and a black long sleeve shirt with a low scoop neck, revealing the long silver necklace she always wore. She blew her hair dry and let it hang beside her cheeks. Putting just a little mascara on, she leaned back and looked at herself in the mirror. She smiled and went into the living room to wait for Chibs.

When she opened the front door, his jaw nearly dropped. He smiled at her as she slid a red corduroy jacket over her shoulders. She laughed, "What?"

He shook his head. "Nothin'. C'mon, let's get goin'." Chibs stepped off the porch and went into the saddlebag on his bike. He pulled out a helmet and handed it to her.

She frantically shook her head, "I can't."

He took a step towards her and put the helmet on her head. "Yes, ya can." She watched as he got on the bike. He extended his arm, "C'mon, love. Nothin's gonna happen."

Breathing shakily, she got on the bike behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. As he started riding, she gripped him, tighter and tighter. She buried her face into his cut, trying to calm down. "Are ya tryin' to kill me? I can't breathe," he chuckled at a red light.

"Oh, sh*t," she said, "Sorry."

He started driving again, and she just retightened her grip. Turning right, he leaned too far, bringing the side of the bike close to the ground. She screamed and he laughed at her. "You're fine!"

On the next turn, he did it again, on purpose this time. She screamed again, gripping him even harder. "Stop doing that!" Chibs laughed, doing it again on the next turn. "Stop!" she laughed. "It's not funny!"

They passed the Charming sign. Driving up into the mountains, he stopped at an overlook, revealing the little town completely lit up. She got off the bike first and unclipped her helmet. He looked up at her. He had tears in his eyes from laughing.

"It's really not that funny."

Chuckling, he said, "See? Ya did it." He stood up and swung his leg over the bike. She laughed and pushed his arm. "Careful, I'll leave ya up here." Mina walked over to the guard rail. She leaned against it, looking down the mountain. "Don't fall, I don't feel like climbing down after ya."

She laughed, "What're we doing all the way up here?"

He pointed, "Look at the city!" Looking up, he said, "Look at the stars!"

He pointed, "Look at the city!" Looking up, he said, "Look at the stars!"

Instead of looking at anything he pointed out, she looked only at him. Looking up at only his brown eyes. Chibs looked down at her and smiled. He pulled her closer to him, tipping her chin up. Moving his face towards hers, he saw her close her eyes as their lips locked together. Mina smiled, keeping their lips together. Running her fingers through his hair, Chibs pulled her closer to him, so their stomachs were touching.

He broke the seal of the kiss and rested his forehead on hers. Keeping her eyes closed, she laughed and then bit her lower lip.

Opening her eyes, she looked up at him, seeing the stars shine on either side of him. So that's what we're doing all the way up here.
