End of the Night - The Doors

Chibs POV

-----

Mina was standing next to me, smiling at the fact I just told her father my name. I didn't see a reason to get all giddy about it, but she was.

She turned to her dad and asked, "Do you need help with anything?"

"No," he sighed, "Just gotta start bringing things out."

"I got it," she smiled, walking into the kitchen, leaving me with her father.

John Michael crossed his arms. "So, going by Filip now?"

I laughed, "On some occasions."

He chuckled and walked over to the table. He sat down and gestured towards the seat across from him. I sat down and crossed my leg under the table.

"So, Filip, tell me something about you."

I chuckled, "There's not much to tell. I'm a mechanic."

Mina came out and set down two plates on the table. She smiled, looking down at me, and then went back.

"Don't give me that bullsh*t," he scoffed. "I know who you are."

"I don't really want to tell my girlfriend's father private things."

He leaned back in his chair and laughed, "Thought she was your old lady?" I didn't say anything to him. "Lying is weak, Filip. I feel like you know that already."

What the hell does that mean?

I laughed, "Okay, fine. I got the name Chibs because of my scars. I'm the vice president of the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club. They're the only family I have besides Mina."

"The Sons of Anarchy are not a club. You're a gang."

I wanted to strangle him. But, I was gonna keep my cool for a few hours. For Mina. "SAMCRO is what I say it is," I growled, leaning closer to him. "Call us a gang again and I'll show ya what we're capable of."

That was me keeping my cool.

John Michael swallowed his spit and Mina came back out. "Everything okay?" she asked looking from him to me.

" 'Course. Everythin's great," I chuckled, "Just gettin' to know each other, right, Dad?" I looked at him and he just nodded.

"I don't think I like the sound of that," Mina sighed, sitting down next to me.

Her dad made a spread of soup, salad, and sandwiches for us. We ate quietly and then her dad looked up at me. I didn't like the look on his face.

"Did the club give you those scars?" he asked.

"Dad!" Mina yelled, hitting the table.

I chuckled and grabbed her hand. "It's a'right, love." I looked back at him and sighed, "No, someone else did. It's a long, complicated story. The club helped me though, that's for sure."

He didn't respond. He was trying to get under my skin. Trying to provoke me.

After a few minutes, he asked, "What are you two exactly?"

"What do you mean, Dad?" Mina asked.

He took a sip of his water and set the glass back down on the table. "Are you guys together?" I looked down at the table. I felt like a seventeen-year-old when he asked his next question. "Have you guys kissed?" I looked at Mina, letting her handle this one. Then, he added, "Are you guys a couple?"
