Scars - Papa Roach

Chibs POV

-----

I laid on the floor, my head in Jax's hands, breathing for the first time in who knows how long. I was home. I was in the clear. Now, I just had to get Bobby.

"I thought you were dead, brother," Jax sighed. I started to sit up to look at him. It hurt to move. "How did you get out? That your blood or theirs?"

I sat staring at Jax, not wanting to tell him the answers to his questions. I sighed, "I had to kill a lotta people, Jackie. I had to do some bad sh*te to get out."

I stood up and went to the door. "Where are you going?"

"Mina, I have to see her."

"Stop, Chibs-" he started but I walked outside to the stolen truck. I would patch myself up once I got home. I slammed the truck door and started driving.

How long had it been since I saw her? A week? Maybe more? I sat in the road, looking up at her house. All of the lights were off in the house. She was turned in for the night.

After a few minutes, I got out and walked up to the front door. I was still dizzy and light-headed from losing blood.

I knocked on the door and waited, holding on to the door frame for support. Was she home? What was taking her so long?

"Hold on, hold on," I heard through the door. "Tig?" She opened the front door. I forgot how beautiful she was. She dropped a gun and covered her mouth. "Oh, my God, Chibs!"

I smile at her and say weakly, "Hey, darlin'."

She started crying and I pulled her into a hug holding her with one arm. She wrapped her arms around me, squeezing me, as she buried her face in my chest. I let out a groan and she took a step back, looking at the blood that was on her arms.

She lightly grabbed my face, looking into my eyes. I missed her. God, I missed her so much. She took my hand and pulled me inside. Before closing the door, she looked out to make sure no one saw anything. She closed it and locked the door and then a second chain lock that was a new addition.

Mina picked up the gun and grabbed my hand with the other. She tried to bring me to the bathroom, but I struggled walking. She put my arm over her shoulder, so I could lean on her.

I sat down on the toilet seat lid and she knelt in front of me. "I was so scared, baby...I...I thought you..."

"I'm okay, love. I made it," I said, holding her hand.

"How?"

I shook my head. "I wanna rest. I don't feel well."

"Okay, hold on." She stood up and left the bathroom.

I got the first aid kit from under the sink. I pulled my shirt over my head. Feeling the backside of my arm, I felt that the two bullets went through. After cleaning it, I started sewing, but then, got dizzy. It didn't hurt though, just felt numb.

"What are you doing?" Mina yelled, startling me. I jumped and stood up. "Hey, hey, you're okay, baby," she said, putting her hands in front of her. "You're okay." I sat back down and she handed me a glass of water. "Here, have a drink. I'll call an ambulance."

"No!" I yelled. She jumped at the sound of my voice. "No," I said, a little quieter. "I've been shot before. I know how to do it."

Mina tucked her hair behind her ears. "Do you need help?"

"Can ya?" She nodded and squatted down next to me. I handed her the needle.

"What do I do?" she asked.
