Happy Together - The Turtles

Mina POV

-----

"What about this one?" I asked, pushing the picture towards Chibs. "Big yard, three bedrooms, dining room. It's pretty nice."

He looked at it, peering through his glasses. "Nah, too small."

"The f*ck you mean 'too small'? Three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, six closets, what do you mean?" I scoffed.

He leaned forward across the table, looking over the frames. "What're we gonna do with half a bathroom?" he chuckled. "We need two. And that kitchen is too small, no counter space," he added, looking back down at his stack.

"How do you know that? It's a picture of the outside."

"I can just tell." I grabbed the picture he was looking at. It was the same house but the interior of it. "I'm resourceful," he shrugged.

I laughed, "You're something alright." Setting the picture back down, I rubbed my face. "We should go look at it."

"No," he said. Handing me a folder, he smiled, "This one."

It was a tan house with teal and stone accents around it. It had a two-car garage and a front porch. I read the description: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living room, basement with a laundry room. It was great, everything we wanted.

I looked back up at him. "Can we afford this?" I chuckled.

"We'll make it work," he shrugged. "Wanna go see it?" I kept reading over everything the realtor gave us and nodded, smiling at the pictures. Chibs took his glasses off and sighed, "A'right, love." He called the realtor and told him the house we wanted to look at. When he hung up, he said, "We're meetin' him at noon."

"Okay," I smiled, closing the folder. "I'm excited."

"Yeah?" he asked.

I laughed, looking down at the large bump of my stomach. "It's everything we want and need. Plus, a dining room," I laughed.

He stood up and chuckled, "That's all ya want."

"I want a house in six months when this kid is born," I said as I stood up.

"Nah, ya want the dining room," he chuckled. He looked at the 12-week ultrasound. "Christ, only six more months."

I scoffed, "Only?" He laughed pulling me into a hug. I put my head on his chest, closing my eyes for a moment just feeling his warmth encasing me. His chest vibrated from laughing and I looked up at him. "What?"

"Nuthin', love," he smiled kissing my forehead.

"You know," I said, poking his sternum. "We've got some time. It's only nine."

Chibs laughed harder. "Only?" He leaned down to kiss me and asked, "What were ya thinkin'?" I wrapped my arms around his neck as he picked up and setting me back down on the counter. "Because I have a few ideas of my own?"

"Oh, do you?" I asked as he kissed my neck. He stood in between my legs and slid his hand up my thigh. Lightly caressing it, he pushed his other hand under my shirt. I laughed, "I guess you do have some ideas."

Kissing down my arm, he asked, "Want me to show ya?" He looked up at me as I bit my lip and nodded. He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. "I think you'll be impressed."

"You really think so?" I laughed as I kissed his neck.

"Aye, I really do."

When we got into the bedroom, he set me down on the bed and I was quick to action pulling his shirt off and grabbing the waistband of his sweatpants to pull him closer. He grabbed the hem of my Nine Inch Nails t-shirt and lifted it over my head.
