Ain't No Rest For The Wicked - Cage the Elephant

-----

Chibs and Mina walk hand in hand back to school. Mina had to be back before her class started. Chibs was busy laughing at the day they had had so far. Everything was good until they heard the sirens heading their way. They stopped in the parking lot, turning to see where the sirens were going.

Two police cars pulled in. "Sh*te," Chibs sighed, dropping her hand.

"What's going on, Chibs?" He could see her tense up and get scared.

Normally, this wouldn't happen to her, so he caressed her cheek and said, "Nuthin', my love. Ya don't need to be scared. I didn't do sh*te." He smiled at her to try to calm her down.

One of the cars went in front and the other behind Chibs and Mina, blocking any escape. The officers got out and drew their guns on him. "Hands up!" they screamed.

Chibs looked at Mina and nudged her hand to get her attention. "Go away a little. Keep your distance from me. I don't want somethin' to happen in case this goes bad."

"No, Chibs, you're innocent. You, you haven't done anything, right?" she stuttered.

"Back up, my love."

The cop yelled, "I said, hands up!"

"I know I didn't do anythin'," he said to her, ignoring the cops. "But, don't forget, my cut says somethin' else for the cops. They don't know me the way ya know me."

"No," she shook her head. "Chibs, we can talk to them about this."

Chibs started getting anxious based on the cops yelling. He looked at them and said, "Mina, ya need to go, now. I don't want ya to have any more problems because of me. Go, my love." She nodded and stepped to the side with her hands up.

"Hands up, or I will shoot you!" the officer yelled.

Chibs put his hands on the back of his head, interlocking his fingers like the last dozen times he had been arrested. "Aye! I f*ckin' understood!"

"On your knees!" the officer ordered.

Chibs did what they said, looking over at Mina. Once he was on his knees, the officers ran over to him with their guns aimed at him. They picked him up and threw him against the car. Chibs head hit the hood of the car. "F*ck," he hissed. His head started bleeding from a small cut. When they searched him, they found the gun in the back of his jeans. "Aw, sh*te," he whispered.

He tried to look up at Mina but they punched him, making his head hit the car again. The one officer grabbed his radio and said, "We have a gun here, I repeat, we have a gun here." They continued to search him and found two knives on the inside of his cut. More sirens came towards the school.

A woman got out of one of the cars and walked towards him. Mina saw her silver Sheriff badge that Eli once wore. She had brown hair that she had up in a clip and aviator sunglasses. "Move," she told her officers. "Let me look, turn him around." They flipped Chibs over so his back was leaning on the car. "Christ, how hard did you hit him? He's bleeding." She smiled at Chibs. "You're in the gang around here?" She pointed to his cut. "Sons of Anarchy?"

"We're a motorcycle club; not a gang."

"What's your name?" she asked, ignoring his comment.

He groaned, "Chibs." He looked down at her shaded eyes with his own. "Ya gonna arrest me or what?"

"Patience, Scottie. I would like to search you." He turned and looked at Mina who looked petrified.

Teachers and students were looking out the windows and people on the street were looking in the parking lot to see what was going on. They had an audience which made it awkward. She went over his arms and then chest. Then, reached around to check his back. Then, to make matters worse, she checked his stomach, sliding her hands down to his crotch. He cleared his throat and she moved to his thigh, checking down his leg, then down the other.
