Make It Rain - Ed Sheeran

-----

Mina was sitting in front of a stack of papers trying to figure out which cabinet it all went into. Refusing to ask Chucky for help again, she told herself she would figure it out on her own. An hour had gone by since telling herself that, and still she sat, trying to determine what goes where.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Nero's car come flying into the lot, slamming on the brakes making them squeal. Swerving, almost hitting Chibs' Mustang, he threw the car in park and got out.  Mina stepped out of the office to see what was going on as Unser walked out of the garage.

"I need a favor," Nero asked Unser.

He asked, "What's going on?" Mina stood in the doorway watching the two of them talk.

Nero paced back and forth, paying Mina's prying eyes no mind. "I gotta tell you something about Tara's murder," Nero said, the words killing him. "It wasn't Chinese."

"I know," Unser sighed. Nero stopped walking and stared at the former chief. "Jax told me about Gemma."

Nero took his sunglasses off and asked, "He did?"

"Yeah," he nodded.

"Sh*t," Nero sighed, beginning to pace again. "Does the sheriff know?"

He shrugged, "I haven't said anything yet."

"Gemma's gone to Oregon," Nero sighed. "At her dad's. Jax knows where she's at."

"Oh, sh*t," Unser sighed.

Mina shook her head, walking back inside. She sat back down, putting her head in her hands. She wanted to give Jax the benefit of the doubt; he wouldn't do anything to his mother. But a small part of her had a feeling he would do something to her. She killed Tara, the love of his life.

Hearing Nero beg Unser to go up and arrest Gemma broke Mina's heart. He left and then a few minutes later, Unser left. Mina sat and watched his truck pull out. Chucky came in and sat down on the couch. Looking over at Mina, he shook his head and went out to the garage.

After convincing Tyler to set a meeting with Connor, the club had another task to do before they could get out of the mess they made. They had to help the Niners get rid of the rest of Lin's crew before they could regroup. If they did, everything fell apart even more.

As Jax and Chibs walked back to their bikes, Jax said, "I need you to handle this with the Niners. I have to head up north."

"Happy's ridin' with you," Chibs sighed, pointing at him.

"You're gonna need everyone. It's my family, it's my problem."

Chibs muttered, "A'right," as he put his sunglasses on and sitting down on his bike.

He tried calling Mina but it went straight to voicemail again. Swearing under his breath, he started his bike and followed Jax down the street. Jax went North and Chibs and the rest of the club went with the Niners to take out the Chinese.

Happy and Rat took out the guys on the street while Chibs, Tig, Quinn, and Montez went to an underground poker game. Before he walked out, Chibs looked at the bodies around the table.

Mina got a short text from Chibs: Be home late. She felt bad for not answering his calls all day, but she didn't know what to say to him. She thought it was better not to get involved in anything.

It was almost one in the morning by the time Chibs got home. She was asleep at the table when he walked in. Squatting down in front of her, he shook her shoulder.
