Chibs sat at the island drinking his first coffee of the day, holding his phone close to his ear. Mina wasn't sure who he was talking to but she had never seen him smile like that. She rested her chin in her hand watching him as he spoke. 

He laughed, "You're kiddin' me? That's great, sweetheart."

Mina sat up a little straighter, wondering who he was calling 'sweetheart.' Chibs noticed and winked at her which made her feel more uneasy. She leaned back on the stool, resting her hands on her stomach. 

"Aye, see ya then. Love ya too," he chuckled, hanging up. He set his phone down and looked over at his worried fiancee. "Guess what?" Mina shrugged as she glanced down at his phone. "My girls are comin'."

"You're...girls?"

He nodded, "Fi and Kerrianne. Flyin' out in the mornin'." 

Mina laughed, "That's great." He finished his coffee and put the mug in the sink. "Do they know about us and the baby?" she asked, looking at his back.

"Yeah," he sighed. "They don't know we're engaged though."

"Why not?"

Chibs shrugged, "Didn't seem like somethin' to say over the phone." He sat back down and grabbed her hand. "I'll tell them while they're here."

She nodded, "Okay." Looking down at their joined hands, she asked, "How long has it been since you saw them?"

"Christ," he sighed, rubbing his face. "Almost four years." He scratched his chin and said, "I told them they could stay with us. Hope that's a'right."

"Yeah," she nodded. "Of course."

Chibs couldn't stop smiling up until he left. She was glad that he was happy about something. It had been a long while since he seemed truly happy. She just wished she could make him smile like that. 

Mina cleaned up around the house, getting ready for their unexpected company. As she cleaned, she thought about Chibs and everything he had been through again, something that had been wandering her mind for the past two days. Some of that was because of Fiona and that killed Mina, but that was a different lifetime ago. 

She decided to surprise him up at Diosa because her thoughts were driving her insane. When she pulled up, Tig and Happy stood outside smoking and drinking. 

"What're you doing here, doll?" Tig asked. 

"I think the proper thing to say is 'good morning'," Happy chuckled.

Mina laughed as she got closer to them. "Looking for Chibs."

"He's inside," Tig sighed, hitching his thumb over his shoulder. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah," she nodded, "Just wanna talk to him."

He laughed, "Well, head on in."

"Thanks," Mina chuckled as she walked past him and grabbed his arm. 

She had never been to Diosa while it was in operation. There were people everywhere, laughing, talking, drinking. Looking for the familiar face she went to see, she saw him sitting at the bar. He was hunched over a ledger, scanning over the numbers. She smiled as she stared at him gazing through his glasses. 

She walked over and asked, "Buy you a drink?"

"Nah, I'm good," he smiled looking up at her, over his glasses. "What're ya doin' here?" He leaned up to kiss her and she sat down next to him.
