For two days, Chibs had been dead to the world at Jax's house. He spent most of his time drinking and watching TV, just trying to pass the time. Those were the longest two days of Mina's life. All she got were one-word text messages from him every few hours when he would remember to text her, but was too drunk to form a sentence.
Rat backed the van into the garage so Chibs could get in without anyone seeing him. They knew there were eyes on them but they didn't know from where. They drove over to the warehouse and pulled in so Chibs could get out and not be seen.
Chibs was terrified as he climbed into the coffin. He sat straight up, still talking to the guys, trying to stall being dead.
Jax got a phone call and answered it, even though he didn't recognize the number. Happy came running in and said two SUVs pulled into the docks and are just driving around.
"Sh*te, that's gotta be them," Chibs sighed.
"You'll be alright, brother," Jax said. As he closed the coffin, he chuckled, "See you on the other side." Chibs flipped him off making Jax chuckle a little more.
Jax, Ratboy, and Montez stood around it as if it were an actual service. Remington, the man in the long coat, and another man walked in.
Remington clapped his hands. "Bravo." Jax turned to look at him.
This is the guy that f*cked up my brother? He thought as he stared him down.
"He died a lot faster than I thought he would." Jax tried to reach for his gun but the man in the coat grabbed his gun a lot faster. "Nice try. Drop the gun."
"What? He can't talk?" Jax chuckled.
"I don't talk to the dead," the man in the long coat said in a thick Russian accent.
Remington started speaking again. "If you want Bobby, drop your gun." Jax hesitated and he screamed, "Now!" Jax dropped it and Remington smile, "Cut too."
"What?"
"Gimme your cut," Remington ordered.
Jax laughed, "F*ck off."
Remington chuckled, "Alright, well, you forced my hand." He whistled and five guys piled out of the SUV, one of them being Bobby. Jax tried to take a step forward, but the guy in the coat readjusted his aim. "Give me the patch."
Jax looked at Bobby, who was shaking his head. He could see Tig, Happy, and Quinn around the warehouse. He knew what their plan was and how it wouldn't work.
Jax stuttered, "N-No."
"What was that?" Remington asked.
"No."
"I was afraid this would happen," he sighed, pulling out his gun. Turning, he shot Bobby in the head.
Jax screamed, "You son of a b*tch!"
The three on the outside of the warehouse came around, shooting Remington's men. Jax charged at him and punched him over and over again. Tig shot the man in the long coat and picked up his gun. He held it, looking it over, and decided to keep it.
Happy and Tig picked Remington up and brought him into the warehouse, tying him to a chair. Jax knelt next to Bobby. Starting to cry, he whispered, "I'm sorry, brother. I'm so sorry." After a few minutes, he stood and looked at Happy and Quinn. "Get Bobby in the van and get rid of these guys."
"You got it, boss," Quinn sighed.
Jax walked back inside and looked down at Remington. He leaned down close to Remington. "You're going to regret that," he whispered.
