Twins (Thor) Part 2

You don't remember much from when you landed in front of Heimdall back on Asgard. There were flashes of memories, like Heimdall calling for guards to come and retrieve you and bring you to the healers. In any other circumstance you could heal yourself just fine, but you were drained of energy from battle and being transported across the rainbow bridge.

Now, however, you were regaining your energy and consciousness. As you opened your eyes you saw that you were in the healers room in one of the recovery beds. Heimdall stayed true to his word, which was no surprise. There was a brief thought of why you weren't in your own room to recover, but that thought was thrown out of your mind when you saw Odin sitting at your bedside.

"Father? What are you doing here?" you asked, immensely confused. Unknown to you, he had been by your side ever since the guards placed you in the bed to be healed, leaving once and only once.

He looked caught off guard when you called him out, but recovered. You watched as he looked around the room and looked to see what he was looking at. You caught sight of some guards in the room with you two.

"Give us the room," Odin commanded to the guards. "No one is to enter, either." There was no hesitation from the guards. They simply nodded and left the room.

Now you were even more confused. This was not the same man that you left behind years ago. "Father, what is wrong?" you asked. The curiosity was killing you.

After another look around the room from Odin, he looked back at you and sighed. Right as you were about to ask another question, a green shimmer surrounded Odin and revealed the brother you had been mourning for over a year.

"Loki?" you asked, your voice quiet and shaking from the shock. He looked at you and gave you a genuine smile, one you don't remember the last time you saw. "Oh my gods!"

You sat up from the bed quickly and brought your arms around Loki, him doing the same. The two of you got along so well when you were younger and it was the worst feeling in the world hearing about the path he had gone down, ending in his death.

But now your younger brother was alive and in front of you. You certainly weren't prepared to wake up to this surprise.

Just as quickly as the happiness came, the betrayal came soon after. You pulled out of the hug and started hitting his arm. "How could you do that to me!" you yelled in between hits through gritted teeth.

"Ow, ow, okay I get it!" Loki said while grabbing your hands to stop the hitting. You huffed and took your hands back so you could cross your arms. "I'm sorry I lied to you about dying... twice, actually."

You rolled your eyes. "Do you know how horrible I felt when I heard you had died fighting the Dark Elves and I hadn't gotten a chance to speak to you since... since the day the Bifrost was destroyed..." you shook your head in anger and pushed away any tears that dared drip down your cheeks.

Loki knew you too well, however, and knew you were just trying to be angry to shut out the sadness. He pulled you into another hug and whispered, "I missed you, too, (Y/n)." Even though he was the youngest, he sometimes acted like an older brother when Thor was out doing god knows what (yes, technically Thor was a few minutes older).

That made you think. "Wait," you said and pulled out of the hug. Loki sat down next to you and listened. "Has Thor been alerted to what's happened to me? I hope he's not thinking I'm dead or anything..."

You looked and saw Loki nod his head. "Yes, he came not too long ago to update me- well, Odin, on the situation and mentioned he couldn't find you and assumed you had passed. At first I wanted to make him think you were dead as a lovely jest, but then realized that isn't what our dear Odin would do, so I told him the truth."
