One Hundred Sixty

  "You can leave now" she said after the hour ended

I looked down at my hand and engraved into it was I Shall Not Distract Boys

I got out of my seat and headed for the door without a word to her
What an evil bitch

I opened the door and saw Draco waiting for me
I put my hand behind my back
  "You're still here?"

  "Well yeah, I mean I wasn't going to leave when I finally get to see you again. Plus I've heard that Umbridges' detentions are really awful...what did you have to do?"

I pushed my hand further behind my back
  "Lines, it wasn't the worst"

He raised his eyebrows and lightly grabbed my hand
  "I shall not distract boys?? What the fuck is this? Why are you bleeding??"

  "She has a blood quill...it's not as bad as it looks really" I said trying to take my hand back but Draco didn't let go

  "She's barbaric...Cora you need to tell someone. No one is willing to discuss her detentions you need to be the one"

  "It's not the worst I've been through, I don't want her to hate me more..."

  "I understand" he said putting his hand on my face to hold it "I'll just get detention and do it myself" 

  "No please don't, just forget it"

  "I can't"

I knew he wouldn't
No matter who it was, he wouldn't forget or forgive them for hurting me

  "Can I ask you something?" I said walking with him to the Hospital wing
He ripped off some of his shirt to wrap my hand, but insisted I go get it checked as well

  "What's on your mind?"

  "What made you give me a chance? I'm Gryffindor, sworn enemies to Slytherin" I said laughing

He chuckled too
But his chuckled turned into his cheeks softening and his eyes turning more grey
  "You looked as lonely as I was, and you were the only one who didn't look at me like I was my family name"

After a visit to an angry Madame Pomfrey we walked around talking about the summer
I told him how I fell in love and lost my love
How I ran away and drank again
How Blaise took advantage of me
  "I didn't want anyone knowing after I found out what happened" I said after explaining that night "I'm embarrassed that I let that happen"

Draco's face was tight
I could tell he was holding his anger in, it poured into my mind
  "It's not your fault. He did it not you, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm glad I beat the shit out of him"

  "Did I tell you I did after you left?"

Draco looked at me wide eyed
  "You hit him?! Brilliant" he said smiling "Cora you've grown so much. Don't take anyone's bullshit ok? Never. You deserve the best"

  "I'll try" I said smiling "with you and Fred by my side I will be able to"
He rolled his eyes
I lightly pushed him
  "Be nice"

  "Are you going to date him again?" He asked seriously

I shrugged my shoulders
  "Not sure, I haven't figure that out yet why?"

  "Nothing"

I felt his emotions
  "Why are you sad?"

He looked at me and sighed
  "I just don't think he's right for you"

I went to push him further but we were interrupted by Pansy shoving passed me
  "Whore" she said laughing with Millicent Bulstrode

  "What did you call me?" I demanded turning around to face her

She glared at me and then at Draco
  "Are you sure you want to keep chasing her? She sleeps around, wouldn't want you catching anything Dracey"

I walked up and grabbed the scruff of her collar
I pushed her against the wall and shoved my arm into her throat
  "Shut the fuck up"

She looked stunned
  "Get off of me"

  "Leave me alone, and while you're at it leave Draco alone too" I released my grip on her and she ran off with Millicent

Draco was laughing
  "Incredible" he said pulling me in for a hug

  "That felt good"

  "It looked good" he kissed the top of my head and walked with me again

Draco dropped me off at my common room door
He kissed my cheek and hugged me tightly
  "Goodnight Cora, sleep well"

Whenever he left me I could feel his emotions turn sad, there wasn't much I could do to change that unfortunately
I could see Draco being good at cuddling
He would hold me tightly throughout the night and I would end up sleeping soundly
Like I do with Fred around

I opened the door after telling the password and the only ones around were Harry Ron and Hermione

They all jumped up when I entered the room
  "What did she make you write??" Hermione asked

I unwrapped my hand and showed them my new branding

  "I shall not distract boys?!" She yelled

  "It's kind of comical" Ron said

  "I know it's ridiculous really" I said chuckling "it hurt definitely but Harry was right it stopped after half the hour passed"

  "Are you going to tell McGonagall?" She asked

Harry looked at me concerned

  "No"

  "Why not?" She asked

  "I don't want her to have more of a reason to hate me, I can handle it" I said sitting down

Ron came to sit beside me and Hermione sat on my other side
I leaned my head against Ron's shoulder and picked my feet up to my chest
Harry sat in the single chair beside us
  "I didn't tell her either" he said

  "Draco told me no one has said anything. I just don't want to seem like I can't handle it. I don't want to look weak anymore"

  "I know how you feel" he said "tryouts are the day after tomorrow are you going to be chaser again?"

  "I haven't even thought about it..."
The quidditch pitch was where I was kidnapped
I felt my palms begin to sweat
I rubbed my hands on my knees
  "I'm not sure"

  "I think you should try" he said encouragingly

  "Ok, I'll try"
