Death Eaters Daughter Part Two

Two Hundred Twenty Eight

I ran as fast as I could to catch up to her
I looked to my right and saw Harry running beside me, neither of us wanted to risk missing our revenge

I could hear yelling
"Harry!!"
"Cora!!"
"I killed Sirius Black!!"
The only one we focused on was her

Her voice led us to a path opening to the small pond in their yard
The middle of the water had a clear spot where we both stood tall, wands pointing in the direction of her laughter
I sent a spell her way, Harry followed
Spells shot towards us, but Harry used a protection spell to block theirs

It was quiet again
Harry looked at and nodded his head
We stood back to back, ready to defend each other
Another spell, I hit it with my own
Flashes of light sparked from where our spells collided but mine over powered theirs

I saw figures moving around in the tall grass, I sent spell after spell hoping to hit someone
I knew I got one of the mysteries wizards
I could hear a body fall and an Apparation happen
"Good shot" Harry said

Bellatrix came out into the clearing, she was on Harry's side
He shot her with a spell but she dodged it
"Poor itty bitty babies missing your Godfather Harry? Cora are you missing your dad's lover?"
She was baiting us hard I knew she wanted us to get close to her
It was working
Both Harry and I walked her way pointing our wands at her
But before we could engage I heard fighting happening behind us
I saw two tall figures come into the clearing, one was Arthur Weasley
The other was my dad
Bellatrix smirked and then apparated before we could kill her

I watched her shadow dance in the sky before flying towards the burrow
I heard screaming and saw flames erupting by the building
"Molly...Molly!!" Arthur yelled leaving us with just my dad

I didn't look at him, I didn't want to acknowledge his presence
Harry left racing towards the burrow with Arthur, we watched more shadows race into the night sky apparating back to where ever they came from
I started walking towards the house, my dad didn't stop me

When I arrived I saw the flames had been put out, Charlie Bill Fred George and Arthur were all in corners of the burrow
Ron was with Ginny and their mum at the beginning of the trail, Hermione was holding Harry's hand
I saw the look of pity she sent to me, she ushered for me to walk close to her so I did
She held my other hand tighter than she held Harry's

When the Burrow was put back together we as a group walked back inside
I was the one of the last to enter, my dad and Tonks were the very last
Molly walked into her kitchen and started a pot of water for tea
Knowing none of us would get sleep tonight, she started to stress bake
Fred sat down at the table, he pulled a seat next to him out for me
I shook my head no, I wanted to stand
If I sat down I would get too comfortable...if she came back I promised myself I would grab her and destroy her with myself if needed

"Why did that just happen?" Ginny asked sitting next to a standing Harry

"They wanted to prove something to us" Arthur said standing beside his wife
"They wanted to show us our protection spells are weak. They must know we meet here for order meetings, our location will have to be changed now"

"How did they find us?" She asked again

"How did they find us...Cora?" My dad spoke, I looked at him and he was watching me
My mouth dropped wide opened
The whole room got silent

Is he...
"Are you accusing me of bringing them here?" I said with a calmness that scared even me

"You arrived moments before they did" he said

Tonks looked just as shocked as I did
"Remus you aren't serious" she said

He put his hand out to shush her
"I'm asking you a question Cora"

"Fuck you" I said biting my lip hard enough for blood to form "I would NEVER compromise the Weasley's home like that. I would NEVER compromise any of your lives"

"Where were you?" He demanded
The only sound other than our own voices was the sound of a screaming tea kettle
Molly didn't move the pot, I wasn't sure if she was on his side or mine
I just knew the room was filled with emotions
Anxiety
Confusion
Anger

"I was in a spot no one would find me" I said through clenched teeth

"A spot no one else would go to? Or no one from here would?" His questioning hurt me deeper than his lack of letters this year

"She was fighting alongside me. If she brought them here she wouldn't have" Harry spoke defending me
"She attacked Bellatrix with the same amount of hatred as I did"

"I'll ask the question again, how did they know we were here?" He asked me, not the room just me "did you tell your friend about our meetings? Did he know where this house was?"

I laughed
"No wonder Sirius rotted in Azkaban for so many fucking years. You didn't trust in his loyalty, you don't trust in my own"

"Im making sure we don't have a double agent" he said harshly

I looked around the room
Harry Ron and Hermione looked to be closer to me than before, as if they were trying to be sure I wouldn't apparate without them this time
The Weasley siblings looked at me with trust in their eyes, they all knew who I truly was
The only one who looked at me with the same questionable stare was Molly

"A double agent..." I chuckled again "you know what" I flipped my wand around in my hands
Hermione had laid her hand on my waist, she was the first to be sure she could touch me
"You're the worst fucking dad. At least with Corban he didn't hide his distaste for me. He told me daily how much he hated me. You pretended to love me, you never truly felt anything for me did you?"

He said nothing
"Did you?!" I yelled slamming my hands onto the kitchen table

"I loved you, but you killed Sirius"
Looking straight in my eyes, he wanted me to know how he felt truly
Loved me
Past tense

"You're right I fucking did" I felt tears fall onto my face, I didn't wipe them away I wanted him to see my hurt "I am the reason for his death"

"No you aren't" Fred said defending me now

"No I am, truly I am. Not Harry who ran after you to help defend your back, me" I pointed my wand to my face "I went to help Sirius because I loved him and didn't want to see him get killed. I went to his side like I would have for ANYONE in this room" my lip trembled "he died protecting me, what a fucking waste that was huh?!"

"No" Charlie said "don't you dare believe that"

"How can't I?!" I yelled at him now
Charlie could take my anger, I knew no matter how I yelled or screamed he would take it all in and not hold it against me
"I fucking killed him because I loved him too deeply. I cared and that's what caring got me. A dead dad. The ONLY male I considered to have that role" I glared at Remus Lupin with as much hatred as I could manage

"Remus it's time to leave" Tonks said pulling at his arm "honey it's close to the full moon he doesn't mean what he says" she looked at me

I shook my head
"He does" i pointed to Harry "he wrote back to Harry, how many times??"
Remus said nothing
"You know how many times he wrote to me this year?!"

Tonks stayed silent
She knew, she's been around my dad a lot since Sirius' passing

"None. He NEVER wrote to me. Even when I was at a low point he didn't write back to me"

"You told me off in your last letter" he said

"Youre fucking right i did" my breathing was erratic "I deserve this life don't I"

"No" Hermione said beside me

"I do" I said looking at her "I'm strong enough to over come it, that's what everyone says to me but I don't want to be strong" i closed my eyes tightly, sobs let themself out of my throat "I-I just w-want to b-be loved"

Charlie had enough of this conversation
He walked over to me and grabbed my hand
I felt him apparate us, leaving behind a room filled with my sorrow
