One Hundred Sixty Eight

It was finally the weekend of Hogsmeade
I told Fred I would meet up with him at the three broom sticks after shopping with Draco
He hesitated on letting me go but George helped me to convince him to go to the joke shop with his friends instead
"I'll be fine" I said smiling at Fred when I kissed him goodbye

After we had sex, it seemed his want to protect me intensified
When we're together he's always on guard and tense
I've had to continue to reassure him that I'm ok, he makes me feel that way now

"Fred's being intense" Draco said while we were in a boutique shopping
I didn't want him buying me anything but he insisted
I told him I could buy it myself but he refused that as well

"He'll calm down" I said trying on a sweater "he's just...he has a lot of feelings for me now that we had sex"

I could hear Draco spit out his tea on the other side of the fitting room
"What??" He said

"Uh...well" I said opening the door

He was covered in his tea, staring at me wide eyed
"Cora" he said
I felt his anger through his emotions

"Why are you angry?" I asked

"Stop reading my emotions" he said annoyed now "I'm not mad"

"That's not what I'm reading" I said crossing my arms

"Ok I'm mad whatever" he said

"Why though?"

"Don't worry about it. Did you like that sweater?" He said trying to change the subject

"Its kind of bulky, I don't think it looks good on me...am I too skinny now?"

"I don't think so" he said looking at the sweater "I like that it's bulky on you, it looks comfortable and hides your body so no one can see it"

I rolled my eyes
"Starting to sound like Fred now"

"Don't compare me to him" he said seriously "plus I was protective of you first he can back off"

I turned around and rolled my eyes again
"Are you two ever going to be friends?" I asked closing the door and taking the sweater off

"No, especially now" I heard him whisper the last part

"It makes me sad to know my friends don't like you" I said opening the door again and handing him the sweater to purchase "I wish they knew you like I do"

"The only one I like is Granger, the rest can hate me and I won't care. Even if she hated me I wouldn't care, as long as you're opinion of me doesn't falter"

"Everyone in the world could hate you and I would still love you"

"I know" he said pulling money out to purchase my gift "that's what matters"

Draco dropped me off at the three broom sticks where I told him I was meeting Fred
Fred watched from the doorway Draco kiss my forehead and hug me goodbye before he left with Crabbe and Goyle

I walked up to Fred and when I turned around I saw Draco glaring at him, Fred glared right back
"Be nice" I said to Fred

He pulled me into his chest and kissed me deeply, dipping me down and then up again
I felt intense anger coming from Draco's way, but I also felt it from Fred
I just wish they would get along

"Draco bought me a new sweater" I said showing him while he got me a nonalcoholic butterbeer

"He did, did he? Let me see" he said looking into my bag
I pulled it out and showed him the baggy grey sweater that was warmer than any article of clothing I owed already

"It's going to keep me really warm" I said putting it on
It's not supposed to snow for another few weeks but the end of fall here was just as cold as winter

"You know what else will keep you warm" he said nipping at my ear

"What's that?" I asked feeling the hair on my body rise with his lips loving on me

"Hot tea" he said pulling away from my neck that he was kissing

I pulled his face into mine
"I think I'd like some of that for our walk to Hogs head, my treat?"

"Absolutely not" he said getting up from our booth "I'll be back Love"

I watched Fred go up to the barkeep and order my tea
I wonder how many students will show up? I told Cedric who said he would share the message, I know Harry told Cho, Hermione told a few other Gryffindors too...if only a few show that's ok too

"Whore" I heard from behind my booth
I turned my head around and saw Pansy laughing with her group
"Draco's not enough for you? How much dick have you gotten since you've been back...Pucey...Blaise...Draco...Fred really sleeping around aren't you?"

Her friends laughed

"I never slept with Pucey or Draco" I said feeling defensive

"Not from what I heard, he's been going around saying he fucked you before Blaise that night, Pucey that is. Draco won't say it but I know you've fucked him too"

Fred returned with my hot tea in hand
"Problem?" He asked me

I took my tea and sipped it softly
"Nope" I took my cup and dumped it down Pansy's front

She jumped up screaming how hot it was
"You fucking bitch" she said glaring at me

"Ready Fred?" I asked

He nodded his head and took my hand
We walked out of the bar, I was smiling
"That felt good"
But when I looked at Fred he looked pissed, his emotions were angry too
"What's wrong?" I asked

"Nothing" he lied

I wanted to ask him further but I figured I'd let him cool down before I asked again
We headed to the location of the meeting for our new defense class
When I thought only a few students would show, 22 of them did
A healthy mix of all three houses, excluding Slytherin sadly
Hermione made us all sign a paper enchanted to keep the group a secret
Fred and George helped her with that
If someone told their face would turn into boils, disgusting and filled with puss that would last for weeks

I felt very confident in our new group, I knew Harry would be able to help us all learn what we are supposed to this year
