Death Eaters Daughter Part Two

One Hundred Seventy Eight

Cor jumped onto me and laid me down flat onto the ground
She pressed her warm head onto my chest and I smiled deeply
"I've missed you so much"
I felt my scale necklace warm up immensely

"She's been lost without" Shilo said

"I can see" I got up slightly and started to run my hands down her neck "who's been taking care of her since I've been gone?"

"The only one who can, Charlie" Alec said smiling

"She's always been fun to take care of, she's been extra fun without you as you can imagine" he showed me a few new scars on his arms

"Cor" I said staring at her "if I'm not here you have to learn to get along with the rest"
She huffed out hot air towards me
I pulled her face into mine
"I love you girl, I've missed you more than you know"

The tamers held a celebration for me tonight
We had a giant campfire and sang songs while eating fire roasted foods
I couldn't help my heart from stinging slightly when I thought about Nico, he should be here too
Kai would be bugging Cor, she would pretend to hate it but I know she cared for the fun loving Dragon
Nico would be sitting beside me, holding me and telling me how much he missed me
I put my hand on my necklace and held Kai's scale tightly
Charlie sat beside me and pulled me into his side
"Nico is here with us, we don't feel his presence here typically but tonight everyone agrees that he's here. We think he's with you a lot, so it would make sense for him to be here now with us all"

I pushed back tears with my hands
"Yeah, I sense him a lot too. He came to me in an alcohol infused dream once, he told me that Fred was good for me. He told me to be happy"

"Have you done that?"

"Be happy?"

He nodded his head

I looked up at the sky and saw Cancer dancing in the night sky
"I have"

The following day I spent flying on Cor, and that was all I did
The last time I flew on her it was warm and smelt of summer
Now it's cold with snow everywhere
But that didn't stop my want to soar through the sky
We flew around the mountain at first, and then over an ice formed river with small creatures chasing each other
We flew towards a small village that looks abandoned, all but one house with smoke coming out of its chimney and then we found a spot that wasn't covered in snow to land on further down our journey

Once she landed we went and sat down together under a giant dark oak tree
She placed her head on my lap and I laid my head on the tree
I took a deep breath, the air was cold so it was pained but it felt good to be outside with her
"Cor, I can't wait to be with you all of the time. I wish I could take you to school"

She nuzzled her head closer to my chest

"There is a Professor there who you would love, he said he would watch you but I don't think the school would allow a dragon to stay on grounds for too long. Especially right now, we have this awful ministry worker there. She's a bitch, to say the least. She makes me so angry, but she won't be there for long. No Professor in that class has lasted longer than a year"

The ground was beginning to get covered in snow around us as well
I got up and jumped onto her back
"Ready to continue flying?"

She took off into the sky and we flew back to the campground

Charlie was playing with Norbert when I got there
"Have fun?"

"We did" I started petting Norbert but Cor pushed my hand away
"Don't be jealous"

"I'm sure it'll take a while for her to not be, you two are very connect. It's how I feel about Norbert, he's my everything"

"Can I quit school and come here already?"

"Yes" Alec said

"No" Shilo and Charlie said

"You can't" Charlie said again "finish school, it's important. This will be here when you're done, you only have two more years"

"But I know what I want to do, I should be able to quit if that's the case. We're not even learning how to pass our OWLs with Umbridge there"

"I heard the group you all created is helping with that though"

"Yeah but still" I said petting Cor again

"But still, you'll pass with flying colors I know how smart you are. And then next year you'll take classes that will help you when you come here"

"Which would be?"

"Care of magical creatures, potions, divination, all those are helpful here"

"Got it" I said smiling "those are good classes for me anyways, I could do without Snape being my teacher but he knows what he's doing I can't complain about his teaching"

"Did you hear that he wants to teach Harry occlumency? He's going there today to discuss it, well by wants to I do mean Dumbledore asked him too"

"Oh? I'm sure that conversation is going to go well. Sirius and my dad hate him, I'm sure they won't like him being in their house. He hasn't shown up for a lot of the order meetings I've heard"

"He's keeping a low profile and only showing up for the important ones, he's living a double life"

"What do you mean?"

"He used to be a death eater, he isn't anymore but you know who doesn't know that. Just know that he's on our side but not everything is as it seems, he is a smart man"

"Interesting"

"Want to race?" He asked changing the subject

I smirked at him
"Want to lose is what you're asking?"

He belly laughed
"Merlin, I missed you"
He jumped onto Norbert but before he could take off from the ground Cor had already grabbed me and threw me onto her back
She took off before they could even flap a first wing
She loved racing
So did I
