Death Eaters Daughter Part Two

Two Hundred Seventy One

The next morning arrived, we all slept in the main living space not wanting to be fair from one another
We dragged mattresses from a few bedrooms and made a big comfortable bed for us to share
I woke up in a mix of legs, tangled in Hermione's and Harry's
Ron was on Hermione's side, Harry was on mine
The guys felt better being on the outside and I welcomed the warmth they provided for my frozen body

I got up and stretched my body out as quietly as I could, figuring no one else would want to bother getting up as early as me
The sun was barely shining through the ripped curtains, if I had to guess I would have said it was around 7am

We were in a rush to figure these Horcruxes out, but if Harry and Ginny have struggled for the last five years than we didn't have much hope in finding things out quickly. I let them sleep instead of making them rise with me

I used my wand to create a pot of hot water and made myself chamomile tea, I got a bag out of a box Sirius had specifically for me here
He always had tea ready for his guest, something I missed about his presence
I wasn't sure how Harry did it, being in his house without him was depressing

I walked with my cup of tea towards his old room, I explored it with my dad and him but I didn't go into any of his private boxes
It didn't feel right then, doesn't feel right now but I don't know if this will be the last time I have the opportunity to

The floors creaked, not loud enough to disturb the tangle of bodies sleeping but enough to make my presence known
Was Kreacher still here?
I made myself a mental note to ask Harry when he woke up

The room was just as I left it, seems Harry didn't go through it when I was away
I walked inside and went under his bed, I knew there was a box of old letters here and so this is where I would begin learning about him
I hoped that some letters could give me insight on my dad too, he talked briefly of his time at Hogwarts but I wanted to know more
Were they in love in school too?
I placed my mug of tea down on his bedside table and picked up the box
I took a deep breath

The box was filled with letters and school memorabilia, Gryffindor merchandise like stickers and pins for his cloak
Some addressed from James, some from Lily, a lot from my dad, some from my mum

"Can I look with you?" Harry said by the door

I jumped, the box of letters went flying over the bed
I clutched my chest, my heart beating fast
"Harry please, you scared me"

"Sorry" he said smirking

"Yes of course you can"

Harry didn't move
I side eyed him
"You have to invite me in, it's jinxed to only allow the owner of the room in..."

"Oh" I hadn't realized Sirius placed a jinx in the room "Harry you are allowed in"

Harry stepped inside and sighed
"I wanted to come in here so many times but the jinx kept Ginny and I out. Even after his death, it stayed"

"I'm sorry I wish you could have been in here earlier"

He shrugged his shoulder
"What are these?" He picked up some letters, focusing on ones that were labeled with his parents' names

"School letters i suppose...can we sit here and read them?" I picked up a pile with my dad's name

I sat down on the bed and Harry sat beside me, together we searched through old letters discussing what we found
Sirius sent Harry his first broom, he found a letter with a photo attached to it
James, his dad was smiling brightly at Harry who was barely a few inches off the ground, his mum was shaking her head in the background
The photo was titled
Gryffindor future player

I found a photo of Sirius and Remus next, they were lying next to each other with my mum in the middle
Something told me they were all together, I think there is more of my dad and his relationship that I'm not aware of
Sirius never talked about my mum, other than saying sweet things when she was brought up

So vague

I placed the photo in my pocket for safe keeping, it was the only photo I had of my mum but also of the three of them together
After rummaging we walked back down to the kitchen together
We heard some noises and saw around the corner Hermione and Ron softly dancing together
Harry and I stood back, letting them have a moment together
It was going to be hard navigating around a couple, Harry missed Ginny awfully. I heard him saying her name in his sleep last night
At least they're with their partners. Draco and I never made anything official, we both knew we loved each other but the last time I saw him he was so cold

I placed my hand on my inner jacket pocket, where I kept the photo of my family and Draco's letter
I should make him one too, pass it to him the next time I see him
He needs something that reminds him that I love him too

"Oh" Hermione said awkwardly
Ron dropped his hand off her waist

"We didn't hear you guys come down" Ron said clearing his throat

I waved them off and sat down where there was a plate of food waiting
Scrambled eggs, the amount of food wasnt limitless here and as I ate my own portion I wondered if we werent rationing it out enough

"I want to go to Godric's Hollow" Harry blurted out
The rest of our group sat around the table, picking at their eggs

"You went a few years back with Ginny and didn't find any clues right?" I asked

"Yeah but something could be there now"

"So our mission is going to be going back to the same old places to see if there is something new?" Ron asked

"Is there a problem?" Harry asked annoyed

"Actually, yes. Something has been bothering me for a while now" Ron placed his plate down onto the table and locked eyes with Harry
"Did you and Ginny actually search for Horcruxes?"

Harry seemed taken back by his question
Hermione and I watched and didn't interrupt, I didn't think to ask but I suppose five years is a long time to search and find nothing

"I want to destroy him as much as you all do" Harry said

"That's not answering my question"
