Two Hundred Fifty One

I held Hermione as tightly as I could
I wish I could feel emotions to feel the warmth she had for me

I stopped letting myself feel emotions after the battle at Hogwarts. The amount of despair that flowed into me that day threatened to send me to a mental breaking point. I would have if Fred hadn't held me so tightly
Mad Eye thought it was a waste of talent, he liked that I could tell if someone was lying. I felt lost without my power too but handling my own emotions was important for me. I couldn't bare taking on everyone's metallic sting when my own threaten to ruin me.

"Come sit" she brought me into the kitchen, the same stains marked the floor but I ignored it the best I could
I sat down at a long table that was summoned here for the meeting.

I felt another set of arms wrap around me, Ron laid his head onto my shoulder and kissed my cheek
"It's been a while hasn't it" he said

I nodded my head and laid my own on top of his, it's been four months since we had seen one another

The meeting we were supposed to have before this was raided before we even finished apparating. When we arrived to a muggle home that was deemed abandoned, snatchers had already scoped out the spot and were using it. They used their code word Voldemort and summoned even more backup to take us all in. None of us stayed long enough to get caught, we didn't stay long enough to even say hi to one another or see who showed up. Now we had the option to show up early to our locations, if it was already being used we could apparate and send a patronus to the rest of the group

Hermione sat on my other side and the three of us laid quietly on one another
I heard Charlie interrogating someone outside
We all had specific questions that were meant to be asked before entering the barrier, Hermione tends to skip past those when I was near. I did the same for her
The door swung open, I took my head off of Ron's shoulder and turned to see who entered

Harry was holding Ginny's hand
She ran over to us, she hugged each one of us her brother first
Harry walked over to me and held me tightly before greeting his friends
I was feeling too weak to move much, they know by now that me not getting up to greet them wasnt anything malicious
Next to come in was Molly and Arthur
Arthur gave me an encouraging shoulder squeeze, Molly ignored me
Mad eye came in fussing about his issues with our location, Kingsley chose it who came in next defending his choice
Bill walked in with Fleur
Fred and George came in next, Fred walked up beside me and pulled me out of my seat and into his arms

I let him hold me, like I do every time we see each other. I ignored Molly's hateful stare and let my head rest on his chest
"Are you feeling ok?" He asked me softly
George hugged me when he came over, but Fred immediately held me again

"I'm ok" I told everyone the same answer every time they asked, every meeting

"I've got something for you" he whispered to me
I nodded my head and closed my eyes
The last of our group to enter was Tonks
I felt a sting of hurt not seeing my dad walk in with her, it's been four months since I had seen the rest of the lot but my dad wasn't at the last meeting due to the full moon

I looked from the door back to the table, that was until someone poked the side of my head
"Hey sweetheart"

My throat tightened up, I was so lost in my own thoughts I didn't hear him walk in after Tonks
Fred let me go so I could go hug my dad tightly
"How're you?" I found myself asking the question now "I didn't think you'd show"

"I'm ok" he gave me the same response I use "it's been too long" he held my face "I didn't want to miss seeing you" he looked from my face to my hair "You cut your hair it looks nice"
The only one to mention my change

"Thanks" I said smiling softly "I missed you"

"I missed you too. I hope time has been kind to you"

It hasn't
"As kind as she can be I suppose"

He nodded his head
I walked to the table and sat in between Fred and my dad
There were many groups like ours, but we were the main portion. We were the ones the new ministry was after, everyone else was able to stay hidden while working for us. Bill showed up with Fleur, she's as beautiful as always. It seems the war hasn't broken her spirit.

"We're getting married in a few weeks" he said to our group after everyone settled in
Why is everyone getting married next month

"Oh congratulations!" Molly said with as much enthusiasm as she could muster
She didn't like Fleur either, it seemed no one was good enough for her boy

Hermione sent me a glance, I know she's read the paper there is no way she hasn't kept up with news

I looked back at her with a blank stare
I knew she would want to talk about it, she was going to do the same thing that Charlie did
Make sure I wouldn't go
I don't know why they're so worried, I'm not going

The only one in our group who isn't here is Percy. Charlie and I have a difficult mission but it's nothing compared to his.
He is working as a double agent, rarely is he at meetings. He can't be spotted with us and only shows up to the burrow once every few meetings to share important information. He's convinced the ministry he's on their side, years of being loyal to them even when he graduated helped but what sealed their trust in him was when we allowed snatchers to find out locations. Every few we let them show up, we are all excellent duelers and know the risk involved. The problem was we never knew when he would let them in on our location, the only one who knew was Kingsley. The more authentic the raid looked the more they trusted Percy. I know Molly and Arthur worry for his safety, we all do but Percy agreed to this without question.
