Death Eaters Daughter Part Two

Two Hundred Eighteen

Christmas is almost here and I haven't talked to Draco since that day he visited me in the hospital wing
My hands stopped shaking recently, it was a long few weeks of it but I am back to normal now

My dad hasn't sent my any letters asking about my well-being either
Dumbledore told me he lettered him but my dad just didn't reply
I did send him that nasty letter, but I thought he might try to fix things
He truly did stop caring for me

With Christmas coming this week, Hermione and I spent the day shopping in Hogsmeade for gifts
I noticed she didn't buy anything for Ron

  "Do you think you two will ever stop arguing?" I asked looking at a new helmet for him for quidditch

  "Nope" she said crossing her arms "he's got Lavender he doesn't need me"

  "He still needs you" I paid for my purchase and we exited the building
I saw a store that had jewelry and we walked into that one next

  "Are you going to buy something for your dad here?" She asked when I started looking at magical watches

  "Nope" I answered the same way she did earlier "why should I?"
I looked at a beautiful gold watch, it instantly reminded me of Draco
I picked it up and purchased it

  "Who's that for?"

  "No one" I said not making eye contact with her

  "Oh Cora" she sighed but she left it alone
I still haven't told anyone about my encounters with Draco, as far as they know we haven't spoken since last year

  "What? I want to buy him something"

  "He's been ignoring you. Your dad has done the same thing yet you're buying Draco something?"

I saw Honeydukes next
  "Fine I'll get him chocolates"

After we made our purchases we started packing everything for the long holiday vacation
Once we were packed we sat down on the couches in the common room with Harry and Ron who wouldn't look Hermione's way

  "Get a lot of shopping done?" Harry asked inspecting the map

  "Yes, who are you looking for?" I said looking over his shoulder

He crinkled up the map
  "No one"

I sat back down
  "Mhm"

He opened the map up again and continued to study it

  "I'm excited about the gifts I got you all, especially you Ron, you'll like yours"

  "You didn't have to Cora" he said
Ron felt uncomfortable when he was gifted things since he can't afford gifts back
If it wasn't for Harry giving me some of his winnings I wouldn't be able to either

  "I wanted to" I smiled at him

Hermione crossed her arms and sat annoyed on the couch

  "You know you have no right to be mad at me" Ron said to her

  "Oh yeah?? What makes you say that" she said

  "You kissed Krum, I can't kiss anyone but you can?" He said

I looked at Harry for help but he was still deep in the map
I went back to watching them instead

  "I did more than just kiss him" she said under her breath

Ron's face turned bright red
I felt his anger push through
  "Oh yeah?? What else?" He said pissed

  "We had sex" she said

Harry looked up from the map now
I started to inch away from Hermione

  "You did WHAT?!" Ron said jumping from his chair

  "Had sex, he put his—" she was about to go off

  "I don't want to hear about it" Ron cut her off
He stormed out of the common room slamming the door behind him

  "Well that went...awful" I said

  "Hermione you really had sex with Krum? That's wild" Harry said

Hermione chose to ignore Harry's comment
  "Harry I need to warn you, I've heard girls talk about slipping you love potion"

  "I'll be fine, Ginny will kick their asses for me" Harry said looking at the map once again "where do you think someone can go that they won't show up on the map?"

  "Off the grounds, the forest?" Hermione suggested

I stayed silent
I knew Draco was going into the room of requirements, that might not show up on the map

  "Any ideas Cora?" He asked

  "I would say Hogsmeade"

  "Well that's obvious, you two are the smartest girls I know and yet you've come up with the same answers as I did" he closed the map "who are you two going with for Slughorn's Christmas party tonight ?"

I picked up my tea and began drinking it
  "I haven't asked anyone"

  "I asked Cormac" Hermione said

I spit out my tea
  "What?!"

  "I thought he would annoy Ron the most, since he's always flirting with me" she said

  "Oh Merlin" I said slouching

  "I asked Luna, I should have asked you Cora if I knew you didn't have a date" Harry said "I asked Luna because Ginny is going home early to help her Mum with decorations"

  "It's fine, I'm not worried about showing up there alone"
The one person I would have asked I can't

The common room door opened and in came Neville with Seamus
I was expecting Ron to come back but knowing him he's probably off being pissy somewhere

  "Hey all" Seamus said

They sat down beside us
  "Cora, have a date to Slughorn's party?" Neville choked out
Seamus smirked
I knew he still liked me, I didn't care for him that way though

  "I don't, want to go together?" I suggested "as friends?"

He smiled
  "Yes!" He answered quickly

Seamus chuckled and passed him a few coins
  "You did it I'm impressed"

  "Betting on his love life again?" Harry said

I almost backed out of it after hearing that but Neville's nice again, I didn't mind being a part of him winning money off of his friends

  "I bet he wouldn't ever ask her again, he didn't technically so he only got half of what I bet" Seamus said

  "Well it's a date" Neville said excited

  "A friend one" I added
I'm sure Draco would be mad if he found out Neville asked me again but he wouldn't be going to the party
He doesn't do any extra school events anymore, and since Pansy isn't invited I didn't think anyone else would ask him
