One Hundred Eighty Nine

We entered the ministry and left the thersals to fly back to the castle
The streets of London were completely bare, the same for the ministry
It was after hours and from the times I was stuck here with Corban I knew no one hung around except for security
Who were nowhere to be found either, we walked right in without alarming anyone

"This isn't good" I said to our group "we should have run into someone"

"So Sirius is in danger" Harry said

"I'm not sure about that, all I know is there usually is a few workers late at night here...right now I see none"

We walked towards the elevator and took it to the bottom level
Ron and I were the only ones who knew how to maneuver the levels and hallways, Ginny never bothered learning from Arthur

The bottom level was where the department of mystery was, Harry told us that would be where we had to start

"I still don't see why we didn't stop at the house first" Hermione said "we could have shown up with backup"

"It would have taken too long" Harry said
The elevator stopped and we all exited it
"This way, I recognize this path"

I looked at Ron and then continued walking with the group
"Have you even been down here?"

He shook his head
"Never needed to, how about you?"

"Once...I just barely got a look of it though. Yaxley didn't need to be here often, I was surprised we even went that one day"

"Do you think he's alive?"

I didn't answer him
I felt like he was, but I didn't know how to explain the feeling out loud

Onward we walked, and we opened multiple doors on our way to finding Sirius
Harry wasn't sure which one was correct, one lead to a room filled with brains
Another lead to an ancient looking archway

I walked up to the area
The arch was dark, both in its appearance and in its aura
It was tattered, and looked powerful
I couldn't help but be drawn to it, as I walked closer I thought I heard voices coming from inside it

"Anyone else hear those voices?" Harry asked as we passed by the arch

"I do" I pulled my hand away from the piece "I can't make out what they're saying but I can hear it"

"Me too" Luna said coming closer
We looked at Neville and he nodded his head, the only ones in our group who have seen death can also hear voices

"Let's keep going" Hermione said nervously

Harry grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the arch
Something I will have to ask my dad about when I see him

We walked down a hallway another door lead
"This is the one" Harry said

We all walked slowly with our wands out
I was walking beside Ron and Neville while Harry lead the group with Hermione
Luna stood in the middle of our group with Ginny
We all had plans to watch each other's backs, we devised groups before we entered the ministry
Hermione was staying with Harry
Neville would stay with me
Ron would stay with Ginny and Luna

The center of the room came closer and closer, shelves were filled with orbs of smoke with labels on each one
I went to pick one up but I pulled back before I touched it
"These feel wrong" I said "I can't explain it but i feel like I shouldn't be touching these"

"This one has your name on it" Neville said

"Mine?" I asked

"No, Harry's" he said

We all walked towards the orb in question, Harry picked it up gently
"Why is my name on it" he said out loud

I looked around the center of the room, the spot Harry said Sirius was
"Harry"

"I know" he said "he's not here...but in my vision he was"

"What if he wanted you to see that..." Hermione said

"It felt real Hermione"

"I know it did" she said

Footsteps were sounding the hallway
I backed up until my body touched someone else's, Neville's to be exact
"Guys, we have visitors"

Everyone huddled into a small group, wands at the ready

We waited until small groups of people in dark cloaks came into view
"I will be taking that" a voice with authority said

I turned to the voice, it was directly in front of Harry

"Who are you?" He asked

"Hello Harry Potter" the male took off his cloak, revealing Lucius Malfoy
I gulped slightly
Draco said he was in trouble with his family, please don't be here too
"I am here to retrieve that orb, pass it over"

Harry clutched it tighter
"Why is my name on it? Where is Sirius?"

A cackling began behind Lucius
Neville tensed up beside me, I put my hand on his arm
I felt his emotions turn bitter, Neville isn't ever angry
"I know that voice" he said

"Give it here boy" a female voice said, a voice that sounded raspy and dark

"Now now Bellatrix" Lucius said

"Bellatrix Lestrange" I said

She came into view and was smirking
"Ah Yaxley's missing daughter, how we've been hoping to find you and look there Neville Longbottom is it? How's Mum and dad?" She laughed maniacally

Neville threw his wand in front of me
"Better now that they're about to be avenged"

She threw her wand up as well but Lucius stopped her
"We aren't here to fight, we just need the prophecy" he placed his hand in front of Harry

I heard footsteps again and saw more dark figures closing in on us

"Where is Sirius?" Harry asked again

"You saw what the dark lord wanted you to see" Lucius said

"He isn't here" I said

Lucius looked at me
"He isn't, the dark lord needed Harry to retrieve the prophecy and made you see what he needed to get you here"

"Why does he need this?" Harry said spinning it in his hand

"If you give it to me, I can explain it" Lucius tried

"How about you explain it now?" Harry backfired

Lucius was growing impatient I could tell
He looked at his followers and nodded his head
They all began pointing their wands at us
Harry turned to look at our group, and he did the same thing
We nodded our heads back at him

"Now, stupefy!!" He yelled
