Classes have been fine, but I can't keep my mind off of Draco
I'm starting to feel obsessive like Harry, but mine is for concern his is for Merlin only knows what
He believes in the worst of Draco, he's never liked him
Draco has tried to keep me away by being an ass to me, but I know that's not him
I just wish I could help

I have defense and potions with him, he shows up for some but not all of those classes
It seems he skips Snape's the most, which Harry finds suspicious
I suppose Neville didn't mention to him that Snape pulled Draco away from the fight the other day

I haven't received any mail from my dad either, part of me was hoping he would letter me and tell me he loved me
Part of me knew that my letter would change our relationship, to which I didn't care
He changed it the moment he confessed to blaming me

I did receive a letter from Fred though

Dear Cora

How is school so far? Miss me yet?
I miss you a lot
I know when holiday arrives you'll be spending time with Charlie in Romania, but I hope you spend some time with us as well
Mostly me
I want you to come see the holiday decorations I've bought for the loft, I bought them thinking of you
I hope you know I'm still here for you, no matter what you can letter me anything
I hear that Draco isn't being...well he's being an ass to say the least
I won't tell you who but someone lettered me in hopes I would talk to you about this
I trust your judgement, but I'm worried for your safety
If he's a death eater you need to leave him alone, we've had order meetings about that possibility
Tonks is stationed in Hogsmeade if you need her at anytime, she has been told to watch for Draco
Don't take this personally, we are all just trying to protect one another
If he's truly gone to that side, are you ok with leaving him? Will you keep yourself safe? Please do

I can only imagine who wrote to him
I'll have to ask Harry about it later
I put Fred's letter away in my cloak and moved on with my day

Care of Magical creatures has become my favorite class
It was always one of my best, but this year since I'm the only one in it we have been able to discuss only what I want to learn

Hagrid and I were walking through the forbidden forest for our class
It was supposed to rain in the afternoon, so for now we were spending whatever time we could outside

  "Are there actual werewolves who reside in here?"

  "A few yes, but they don't bother anyone. They have given in to their animal side, and stay away from people" Hagrid threw a rock into the lake we walked towards

  "I can't blame them, I wish I could give in to my animal side but I don't have one really"

  "Why would you want to? Living as an animal could be nice but you have so much to live for as a human"

  "Some days it feels easier to forget it"

  "I know, especially now when things are getting hard...just don't give up ok?" He put his hand on my shoulder and squeezed

  "I won't"

After care of magical creatures I had a free period
I used it to walk around the halls
I saw a few first years looking confused near the court yard
"What class are you looking for?" I asked the two of them

"Wow you're really pretty" the younger girl said

"Thank you" I smiled at her

"Potions" the boy said

I nodded my head
"I have a free period want me to show you?"

"Yes please" the boy said

"Are you two twins?"

"We are" they both said

"I know a set of twins just like you, but you two are in opposite houses I see"

"I'm smarter than he is" the girl said, she was in Ravenclaw colors

"I'm nicer than she is" the boy said who was in Hufflepuff colors

"I think you're both pretty great"

We continued chatting until we made it to the dungeons
"This is where potions is, have fun Professor Slughorn is really nice"

"Thank you" they said at the same time

After they got inside the classroom I turned around and began walking back upstairs
I felt like someone was following me, so I took a few random turns and continued having that feeling

So I took one final turn and waited around the corner to see who was tailing me
The person's footsteps were coming closer
I took my wand out, readying myself for a jinx

But instead of whoever it was coming closer, I heard a second set of footsteps and then I heard a body get slammed into the wall
I peeked around the corner and saw Draco pressing Blaise into the wall
I went into my bag and took out a set of ears that Fred gave me to listen to conversations with
I placed one on the wall and the other beside my ear

"Why are you following Cora?" Draco asked "I thought I made it clear when I jinxed you in potions to not fuck with her"

"None of your business, don't you have a bigger problem to worry about?" Blaise said "with your father being put away and all that responsibility now on your shoulders...I figure you'd hate her because of it"

I heard Draco grab Blaise and shove him into the wall again
"Stay away from her"

"What are you going to do? Fight me? That wouldn't go over well with—" I couldn't hear what else Blaise said
It sounded like Draco covered his mouth
"She deserves what I'm going to do to her, she's a bitch. She thinks she's tough now just wait...she'll be dead before the end of the year. I'll be sure to place her in the wrong place when it all goes down"

I heard a fist connect to the wall
I peeked around the corner again and saw Draco's fist clenched beside Blaise's head, the cement under his hand was broken up
"Don't even think about putting her life in danger. If anything happens to her I will end you"

"You can't possibly think you can protect her from whats going to happen?? You won't even talk to her for risk of bringing her into it"

"She stays out of it"

"I know that's the only reason you agreed to it huh, didn't want your sweet girlfriend to get brought into this mess"

"You'll be mindful to keep it that way" Draco took Blaise and shoved him into the wall again
Blaise didn't say anything back, after a few silent moments Draco let him go
Blaise walked off to the direction we came from, while Draco walked towards where I was hiding
