One Hundred Eighty Two

  "So Pansy?" I said when class ended
Draco grabbed his bag and tried walking away from me but I stopped him

  "Give me space, like the space I gave you when you needed it" he said pushing my hand off of him and walking passed me
I watched him walk away down the hallway to his next class, which I knew was Herbology the only class we had separate

  "He's never going to speak to me again"

  "I wouldn't say that" Hermione said walking with me
She put her arm into mine when she saw I wasn't moving and helped me to begin walking again
  "He will come around"

  "But—" a scream was echoing down the hallway
Hermione and I looked at each other
  "Was that Professor Trelawney?" I said concerned

We both ran towards the sound of the scream, only to find a large crowd was already gathering in the court yard
She had a bag of items beside her and Umbridge standing in front of her things

I walked passed Hermione and went to Trelawney
I hugged her tightly
  "What's wrong?" I asked her

Her hands were trembling

  "That's none of your concern" Umbridge said

I glared up at her
  "Power trip?" I asked

I heard a few laughs in the crowd

"I'll deal with you later" she growled at me "I have your things, you may leave the property now"

"But this is my home...I don't have anywhere else to go" Professor Trelawney said broken

I saw McGonagall watching us from the crowd, she ran over to Trelawney as well
She placed her hand on my shoulder
"What is the meaning of this??"

"She has failed as a teacher in the ministry's eyes, she is to be escorted out...something to say Minerva?" Umbridge threatened

"Oh there are plenty of things I wish to say Dolores..." McGonagall stood up tall against Umbridge

"You have the right to fire my teachers as you see fit, you do not have the right however to kick them off the premises...that stays with the Headmaster" the voice of Dumbledore said from down the yard
Heads all turned in his direction to see him walking towards the middle where the four of us stood
He walked up to Trelawney and held her soft hand
"You may go back to your dorm, your items will be there shortly"

"Thank you...thank you" she looked from Dumbledore to the rest of us

I helped her get off the ground and then let her hand go when she walked by Umbridge

"Just wait" Umbridge threatened

"Don't you all have classes to be in? Move along" Dumbledore said to the crowd

I watched everyone scatter around, then I saw only Hermione remained
Harry was in the crowd as well but he went chasing after Dumbledore who's been ignoring him recently

"She's awful" Hermione said meeting up with me

"She needs to be stopped"

Later that night we had another defense class meeting
Fred slowly inched his way towards me the longer Harry took to explain today's class
I side eyed him while he moved but when his hand touched mine I felt a spark that only he could create
I let him hold my hand during our discussion portion and then I partnered with him during the exercise
