One Hundred Ninety Six

  "Merlin's beard" I said after reading the paper the following morning
I passed it to Hermione who was making porridge for us

  "A bridge collapsed in the city?" She said horrified "72 muggles have been severely injured or are missing..."

  "It's Voldemort" I said looking outside
The clouds were moving in, they had been since early this morning

  "What makes you say so?"

  "The paper states 'reasons unknown, the bridge collapsed all of a sudden taking multiple vehicles down with it' all of a sudden? A bridge that has been there for years and newly remodeled? It's dark magic"

  "They're already after muggles" she said concerned "I'm sure Wizards like me as well"

"I'm sure half breeds are on that list as well"

  "It's just going to get worse" Hermione said now burning the paper

It was time for us to go see the Twin's new shop
The weather hasn't gotten any better
I hope it's not a sign for how this year was going to go
Hermione took the time this morning to letter both Ron and Harry, who were staying with each other now as well, and ask them to join us

I decided I was going to wear something simple today, the weather was hot but not enough for me and with the chance of rain I didn't want to get cold. So I put on a large white sweater and a pair of leggings
I looked ridiculous next to Hermione in a short sleeve but that's my life really

I apparated the two of us to Diagon Alley in a spot that no one would see

"You have to be more careful, we could have just used my floo network" Hermione said holding her head "I didn't care for the feeling apparation gave me either"

"I won't use it again I promise, I just hate getting all dusty from the fireplaces" I pointed to my white sweater "I wore something cute today"

"For Fred?" She said smirking

Fred lettered me recently telling me how much he missed me

Dear Cora,

I miss you
A lot
I'm sorry I didn't know how to help when Sirius passed, I hope you can forgive me
I want to see you, I want you to see the loft and what George and I have created
If you do I'll even give you whatever you want in the store, free of charge for you
I miss waking up with you in my arms and seeing your beautiful smile
I hope to see you soon

"I don't know what to do with him" I said sighing and folding the letter back up "I don't even think being in a relationship is good for me right now"

"So break up with him"

"But if I do that and want to get together again...he might not"

"So don't break up with him"

"You're not helping"

She smiled and took my hand
"Let's go see our boys and then see the twins, look there is the family"

We ran over to the storefront they were posted at
Arthur, Molly, Ginny, Ron and Harry were all there

Harry walked up to me and hugged me
"Cora I've missed you"

"I've missed you too, how are you?"

"That's a conversation for later" he said letting me go and letting Ron hug me next

After Ron I hugged the rest of the family, including an eager Molly
"Hello dear, I have your sweater on me can I give it to you? Where are you staying?"

"Thank you" I smiled, she wants to be friendly and so do I "I'm with Hermione"

"Not your dad?" She asked concerned

"No...things are complicated right now with him so I found a new place for the summer to stay"

"You know my home is always welcome to you, please let me know if I can help in anyway" she hugged me again and then lead the group with Arthur towards Fred and George's shop

"Your mum is acting weird" I said to Ginny and Ron

"She's been talking about you a lot this summer" Ginny said "I think she feels bad about how you perceived her in the past"

"She used to like me, and then she believed in the lies that Rita wrote about. She stopped liking me after that"

"She never stopped liking you" Ron said "she just well...she struggled with you"

"Why?"

"She would say a lot how she wished she could help you when you were addicted to alcohol and how she wished she could be a mother to you, but she didn't want to overstep with Sirius and Remus being your parental figures. They yelled at her once when she tried, not like that was a bad thing she can be overbearing. She's been confused on how to help, you'll have to forgive her" Ginny said "she really means well"

I nodded my head
"I can forgive her, I truly always wanted a relationship with her"

When we entered the shop we were bombarded with toys and pranks in every direction
I couldn't help but smile when I walked in, it was glorious

"Hello Love" Fred said kissing me "what do you think??"

"It's wonderful!!" I said excited "this is exactly what I thought you both would do"

"Please look around and tell me if you see anything you want, truly for you it's all free and Harry you as well" Fred said

"What kind of discount does your brother get?" Ron asked picking up some sort of slime ball

"Discount?" George said laughing

"Family discount?" Ron said again

"We have a business to run Ronald I can't be giving away free things" George said smirking at Harry and I

"Fine ill just tell Harry what I want"

"Don't make me lose my privileges" Harry said laughing

"You know what anything you want Ron..." Fred started to say "15 gallons extra"

Ron rolled his eyes but I saw him smiling still
He was just as proud as the rest of us were
