One Hundred Fifty Four

Dumbledore was waiting downstairs for me
He was sitting down at the head of the table with a cup of tea in his hands
I looked at the clock, midnight
  "Hello Cora" he said getting up "ready to go?"

I walked over to my dads' and hugged both of them before taking Dumbledore's hand

  "I love you" they both told me

  "I love you both too"

I had my baggage in my other hand, but before we took off I clutched my necklace
I wanted to be sure I had mine, but Nico's as well
They were both there so I grabbed my bag again and let Dumbledore apparate us to Hogwarts

The familiar squeeze of magic engulfed me and I closed my eyes
When I opened them we were in his office
He picked up his wand and summoned my items to my dorm room
  "Cora, do you need someone to talk to?" He asked sitting at his desk

  "No" I said flatly

  "I understand you went through a great loss,  Charlie filled me in. He only told me, not your dads' but I want you to know you have a safe place in my office if you ever need it. I have a password for you to use, only you can use it and gain access to my office...it's Fireheart"

  "Why do bad things happen to me?"

He motioned for me to sit down in front of his desk, I did so and then took the tea he offered to me
  "I wish I could give you an answer but I can't. Bad things happen to people who don't deserve it, if I could make it easier for you I would"

  "I loved him...I still do. I don't think I ever won't"

  "You don't have to stop loving him, he holds a special spot in your heart and that won't ever change. But you have to continue living. Dying is easy, living is the hard part"

  "What if I don't want to live anymore?"

  "But you do, or you would have ended it already"

  "Do I look like someone who wants to live?"

Knotted hair

  "Yes"

My lip began trembling but I kept it together
  "Thank you for listening"

  "Anytime, I'm just a password away" he winked at me and got out of his chair "let me walk you to your dorm"

  "No it's ok, you're busy I understand"

  "Never too—" his Phoenix came through the window and handed him a letter
He read it quickly and sighed
  "Well I suppose I am busy, will you make it to your dorm without trouble?"

  "I will"

  "Will you go to your dorm?" He asked

  "I will" I lied
I think he knew I lied too, but he was too busy to persuade me otherwise
He apparated from the room and I left as well

I began walking down his spiral staircase and towards the only spot that I could find what I needed this late at night

Pucey's definitely there with his group drinking
I need a drink

I walked passed spirits who bowed to me
I walked passed the court yard that was dark from a moonless night
I walked passed my common room that looked so...inviting and safe
I debated going inside
No one is awake I'm sure...they're not expecting me to come in tonight
I could sit there in peaceful quiet but I didn't want peace
I need an escape

I walked all the way up to the astronomy tower where I heard laughter and bottles being smashed
I felt my heart racing, memories of my third year when I got too intoxicated around Pucey and he assaulted me flooded my mind
Fred and George saved me then
No one will save me now
I can't be saved

  "Look who it is, decided to show up to school?" Montague said as he saw me walking up the staircase

Pucey turned his head towards me and smirked
  "Cora Cora Cora" he said swinging his bottle of whiskey around "want a drink?"

Don't do it
The voice in my head started to sound like Nico, everything reminded me of him
Even Pucey's stupid dark hair did

I have nothing to lose partying with him
I said back

Please don't, he's going to hurt you if you drink with him...turn around
I felt my eyes watering
  "Yes"

Fred's POV

  "She hasn't shown up yet, every single night you wait here for her but she still isn't here" George said sitting beside me

  "You can go to bed, I'm staying"

  "Me too, I'm worried about her" he said

  "I am too...Charlie wasn't much help in finding her it seems" I said throwing his letter into the fireplace

I have been out searching for her daily, still nothing
I'm sorry, I should have made sure she got into the house
I won't stop looking until she's found

  "Hermione has been taking notes for her in every class so at least she won't fall behind" he said

  "What do you think happened to make her want to disappear?" I asked this question to the Order when we found out she went missing, no one could give me an answer because Charlie hadn't told anyone information yet
He wasn't even informed when we knew, we sent a Patronus to him after she didn't come home that day

  "I don't know" George confessed

  "Should I ask Charlie again?" He wouldn't tell us after the fact either
He told the order something tragic happened but it was her story to tell not his

  "I don't think he's going to say anything"

  "I don't think he is either...another sleepless night I suppose" I said getting comfortable in the couch
I had her blanket waiting behind my head, right when I see her walk through I plan to hold her and wrap her up tightly

  "Do you think her condition acted up and that's why she disappeared?" I asked

  "I think trying to figure it out will just make us mad. We have no choice but to wait for her" George said sitting next to me now

I stared into the fireplace, imaging the worse of what she was going through
