Walk With Me.

Walk with me,
Over the irradiated ground;
Your laugh is the sunlight
Now that the moon reigns supreme.
An old-school pistol tucked into your belt,
Brown eyes twinkling
Like something more marvellous than any star,
You said that you'd protect me with your life.
As we walk again,
You lament-
Your life was not enough.
We walk through the grounds
Of our haunted mansion,
And you promise that you'll protect me still,
All throughout the afterlife.
