Birds chirping outside slowly jarring me awake. Opening my eyes to find her tangled against my body.

Pulling her closer while taking in a deep breath of her scent. Causing my body to shiver.
It worked
We both slept peacefully
If only I could hold her
like this every night
My movement is waking her. Slowly she shifts around in my arms. Peeking up at me with her stunning e/c eyes. Then she smiles.
Without thinking I lean my face closer.
And then closer.
Feeling her breath against my lips. Keeping eye contact with her as I approach. Her smile fades which makes her lips appear soft.
W-wait...
I should say something
Right?
Her face inches closer as we close the distance between us. Her hand moves to my chest to lift herself up in order to stretch further.

Those soft lips almost touch mine when the sudden pressure of her hand against the wound on my chest makes wince in pain.
"Oh no! I forgot about your wound." She quickly apologizes as she pulls her face away moving the weight of her body off of me.
