Tanjiro Kamado POV
"I really did it!! Defeated the Yoriichi Type Zero!"
"Well it was starting to break, didn't have amor any longer and only had five swords..." Kotetsu mumbles. "BUT YOU DID GREAT! Both of you are much stronger!"
"Thanks" y/n and I say together.
"Tanjiro! I want you to take the sword!"
My face warms with a blush, "Me? This sword should go to someone more special. I just happened to make the final blow."
"Tanjiro-Kun! Give yourself more credit." My wife raises her voice and gives a serious look. "You are an incredible swordsmen!"
Kotetsu looks at y/n then back to me, "Exactly! Besides you don't currently have a sword. The ones forged during the Sengoku era are high quality!"
"Okay, okay. I am going to get it out."
Nervously I stand up and very carefully grip the hilt. Pulling out the sword while raising it high into the air. My heart racing as goosebumps spread across my skin. Feeling overly proud and filled with excitement.
That's when the sunlight shines through the clouds to reveal harsh marks across the entire blade. Any thrill vanished as the three of us let out a long sigh.
"It's rusted..."
"Sorry for getting you excited. I suppose that it makes sense for it to be rusted. It has been trapped in there for three hundred years or longer."
Even y/n agreed but I felt my eyes begin to water. Remembering what Mitsuri said about a weapon that could make your stronger. I really wanted this to give me an edge over Muzan.
"Tanjiro are you oka-"
The loud booming of footsteps has all three of us turning as we wait for whoever was making the noise to show themselves.
I side step in front of y/n and take a protective stance. A large male without a shirt stomps through the bushes. His appearance is startling but then I recognize his scent.
"Oh! Haganezuka!"
"Leave this to me!" He wastes no time and grabs the sword from my hands. I reach out to try to stop him.

A new voice shouting out as another swordsmith appears behind him and starts tickling, "His weak points are on his sides! Quick!"
Kotetsu was the first to begin tickling the muscular swordsmith then y/n joins in. Leaving me feeling very confused. The large Haganezuka begins giggling in a girly manner.
