"Hospital Besieged: The Evil Hand Revealed!"

"When Naruto awakens, he finds Shikamaru Nara sitting by his bed, bringing him a fruit basket. The two locate Gaara elsewhere in the hospital and halt his attempt to assassinate Rock Lee. Gaara explains that his reason for existing is to kill everyone and reveals that he, like Naruto, was alone for much of his childhood, hated and feared by others for being the host of a tailed beast. Gaara prepares to kill Naruto and Shikamaru as well, but is stopped by the arrival of Might Guy, Lee's sensei, and leaves."

Analysis

The scene takes place at the hospital, where Gaara is attempting to assassinate Rock Lee since he couldn't kill him at the match due to Might Guy's interference.

Gaara is extremely dangerous, and the episode also shows one similarity between him and Naruto. He and Naruto are similar in that he was alone during his childhood and hated and feared by others for being the host of a tailed beast. Although Gaara and Naruto share this similarity, there is a reason why Gaara is the way he is. He didn't have anyone to support him or care about him, so everyone hated him, hence why he felt the need to kill everyone. Therefore, he is in deep emotional pain; hence, he is melancholic. Naruto, on the other hand, was always alone until Iruka Sensei started to acknowledge him and believe in him, believing that he would become a ninja. He also has Team 7, hence why Naruto isn't like Gaara. If it wasn't for Iruka Sensei, Naruto would have been like Gaara, always suffering emotionally and hating everyone else. Yet it makes one think: since Gaara said he was alone most of his life, what about his teammates Temari and Kankuro? Don't they care about him? All of these rhetorical questions will be answered after some time.

Might Guy save the day once again; if he hadn't come into Lee's room, Gaara would have murdered Shikamaru and Naruto. Gaara leaves, but it makes us wonder who he is going to kill next, which makes the episode intense.

The lesson from this episode is that we all need someone who believes in us, loves us, and supports us so that we can be the best we can be.
