It was a nice snowy day, the servants stayed at the manor house while you and Ciel went to go investigate a series of citizens being hung upside down.
"Damn it! This is the 20th one now." Lord Randall said "You haven't apprehended the culprit yet Abberline??" Lord Randall yelled at Abberline as he apologized. "Feh, and the glory of catching Jack the Ripper was stolen from us by those little brats..." lord Randall muttered when Ciel spoke up. "Sorry for being brats."
You and Ciel stood behind the two as they quickly turned to the two of you. "Earl Phantomhive and Lady Phantomhive!" Randall whispered "Hey you! How the hell did you get in here?" Abberline yelled
"Lord Phantomhive, my lady.... Why are you here?" Lord Randall said as he gestured for Abberline to hush. "Heh. Isn't it obvious? I'm here to clean up the mess made by an old pathetic hunting dog." Ciel insulted Lord Randall as you giggled. You then snatched the stack of papers of evidence collected from Abberline hands before handing them to Ciel and reading them over with him.
"Hmm is that so..." he said in interest. "A crime targeted only at people who have returned to England from India?" You said in a curious tone. "I see the victims are not dead." Ciel added as you nodded. "Don't just...!!" Lord Randall was about to yell before Ciel held up an envelope to his face.
"If it was just a highway man I wouldn't get myself involved or waste Y/n's time." Ciel said. "However we won't sit by and watch the royal family be insulted." You added as you frowned at Lord Randall. "The criminals are described as 'chosen children of sloth and depravity' which is quite accurate. I agree that England would be better off without India's wealthy upstarts." Ciel said as he read out loud what the reports said
"Most of them are upper class people in this so called Great Britain. They are cowards who were too busy with extravagance and indulged in worthless pastimes." Randall simply said. "Upper class... how worthless" Ciel muttered before you asked about a mark
"Anyways what is this mark?" You asked calmly. "He's making a fool of us British and the Queen!! What an idiot..!! Targeting only those who return from India means that the criminal can't be anyone other than a vulgar Indian barbarian!!" Randall shouted angrily. "So that's the reason you called us out here?" Ciel asked
"A majority of smuggling Indians have a stronghold in the east end. I can see that even city yards don't know what to do with a dark street like east end. It's hard to identify the route and exact number of smugglers right?" Ciel asked as an angry Randall crossed his arms. "So we'll be making a move in our own way." You said simply before tugging on Ciels sleeve.
"I want to return to the manor house quickly. Sebastian did you memorize those documents?" Ciel asked "yes." "Let's go then, Sebastian." He demanded before walking away with you.
"Young master, mistress. We have arrived." Sebastian announced as you three stood on front of a staircase. "This is the place right?" Ciel asked "yep." You three started descending until you saw doors. Sebastian opened them for you and a smell had hit you, prompting you to cover your nose. "What an awful smell." Ciel said
