You and Ciel had to huddle together closely as to not be seen. Currently, you two were on a steamboat but had snuck on so no one was to know of your presence. Two workers walked by conversing with each other not noticing you two and passing by calmly. You two sighed quietly and relaxed a bit before tensing up again when a crash was heard, you two turned to see Undertaker giggling at the sight of you two.
"I found you, lord, lady." He stated as if this was a game of hide and seek. "Undertaker?" Ciel questioned his presence and you both slowly emerged from your hiding places. He then offered you two some dog shaped snacks. You went to grab one but the jar was brought away by the man as he ate them in front of you both with growling stomachs. You both grumbled
"That tiny, whiny fellow Will was the one who brought me into this expedition. Apparently he'll be short handed in London, so he roped me into it by promising to waive my library fines." Undertaker informed as you two were finally allowed to eat the snacks as you both ate them quickly, leaving your mouths dry. "Will's coming to London?" You asked in a muffled voice as you didn't finish chewing.
"Yes, there's much work to do. We have a great many souls to collect in London this evening." He confirmed as he wiped away crumbs from your cheeks with his hand and then wiped them together to get them off. You grew tense at how he worded it and before either of you could say anything a commotion started in the upper deck. "Ah, seems that it's begun." Undertaker inferred with a smile. Not too long after, you three went upstairs to look at what was happening to see that London was in flames!
"My, they certainly put on quite the show, don't they? And now I must be on my way." Undertaker whistles and started walking off when your brother called after him. "Hold on! Tell me. Why did you come here?" Ciel demanded to know "We have our share of history together, don't we? In light of that fact. I thought I'd give you both a fair warning." He responded as you furrowed your brows. "Huh?"
"My young Phantomhives, before much longer, you'll both die." He informed as your eyes widened and your heart skipped a beat at the information. "We'll die, what do you mean?" You asked the man but the scream of a woman crying distracted you both, when you turned your heads back the man was gone. "Everything is burning, everything is burning out. Burning away." You brother whispered for you to hear as you placed a hand on his shoulder in comfort.
'I'm going to die, today. Will I be alone? How? Where?' You asks yourself in your head when the ship tilted interrupted your thoughts. You and Ciel looked at each other before running to the man steering. "What are you doing?" You asked "We can't go back to alone when it's in this shape now can we? We're just going to have to do circles around here." He informed "But why? I mean we're practically there already, aren't we?" Ciel tried getting the man to comply but saw another boat heading to London.
"Fine, we'll get on that one. Get us a row boat!" Your brother ordered the man "For two little kids? Tell me, why should I even bother? No, if there's money changing hands-" "Ruddy fool! We have to return to London!" You told the man but doubted yourself in your head "Who stand here now? Who am I..." you whispered in a daze as the man scoffed at you. "Wake up kid! I am a busy man, you know. So maybe you should-" You two suddenly started laughing as the man questioned you both.
