Taylor and Travis didn't stay too late at the wedding because the next day, they went to see the US Open. Taylor was kind of excited about it but also not sure if it was gonna be her thing. Travis liked to watch pretty much any type of sport and even more if Taylor was with him. "Is this a good tennis-watching outfit?", she asked before they were about to leave. "It's probably gonna be pretty sunny, so if that works... it's cute", he smiled and pulled her in for a small kiss. So they left soon and arrived at the US Open shortly after.

It didn't take them long to feel comfortable around their seats and have fun together. Drinks in their hands, they just talked, watched the matches, joked around, and ended up dancing and singing along to the music playing in the background whenever it was somewhat appropriate. "Are we a little tipsy maybe?", Travis laughed after joining Taylor for a sing-along. "I'm not. It's just fun", she chuckled pulling him down for a kiss. "C'mon let's watch the rest of the match", he smiled, so they turned back to the field when the music stopped playing. She never let go of his hand though. "I'm glad we went out today", Taylor realized later making him smile. "Me too", Travis answered and bent over for another kiss holding his cap in front of their faces so they had more privacy. He felt Taylor grin into the kiss and deepened it for a short second. "Love you", she quickly mumbled before he took the cap away. He mouthed a silent answer before they enjoyed the rest of the day.

"Trav", Taylor found her boyfriend in the living room two days later. "What's up?", he asked and immediately clocked that she was some kind of nervous. "I need to talk to you", she told him and sat down on the couch next to him. "Sure, what's going on? Did something happen?", he wanted to know concerned. Maybe the videos and pictures of them at the US Open bothered her? There could be something in them that shouldn't have been seen. Or was it about the presidential debate they had watched last night that was just nerve-wracking? "No. Well... not yet. I just... I'm going to post about the election soon and I... realized I never talked to you about it. With... with Joe I never needed to talk about politics really, cause he was in the UK most of the time. I just forgot? Sorry", she explained carefully. "Oh, so you'll post a video or a text?", Travis just wanted to know sitting up more so he could pay attention better.

"Text. On Instagram. It's gonna throw huge weaves probably", she mumbled playing with her fingers anxiously. "I bet. But you wanna do it, right? It's not that you feel that you have to", he wanted to make sure. "Yes! I... I can't say nothing", she looked up at him. "Of course, I get that. When are you thinking of posting it?", he asked and took her hand so she would stop picking at her nails. "Today. Like... soon. I cleared everything with Tree a few days ago and... yeah", Taylor said. "Oh, okay. I'll read it. D'you want me to give any public reaction about it?", he wanted to know. She sighed. "That's your choice. I think you should make that decision yourself. But... would you read it before I put it out there?", she asked. "Sure", he agreed, so Taylor took out her phone. "Do you want me to give you any feedback? Like... about the phrasing or something, cause I'm really not good at that", he smiled softly and took the phone. "No, just... I mean, if you notice something, tell me but... just read it. This stuff makes me anxious. People care way too much about my opinion but at the same time I hope it does something", she tried to explain.

Travis nodded and leaned back to read the long text. He never let go of her hand tough. Taylor could not lean back. She was honestly scared of what would happen after posting this text and she also felt a little bad for only telling him now. It took him a while to read and get behind everything she meant in detail but he could feel how important it was to her. Her opinion also was pretty much the same as his, so he didn't worry about that at all. When he chuckled a little, she knew he had read the end. "The end is the best", he immediately told her. "Yeah? Not too... jokey or too passive-aggressive?", she asked. "No! It's perfect. Or purrfect", he smiled and put the phone aside to pull her close. "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you earlier", she mumbled putting her arms around his neck to cuddle into him more.

"In the end, it's your thing what you do on social media. I'm not too surprised that you wanna say something about the election and next time we'll talk a few days earlier, hm? What time is it going to be online? Do you want me to be there?", he asked. "In an hour or something. Tree will come around too. She's gonna help me sort through the reactions and stuff", Taylor answered. "And... I'd love you to hold my hand. Am already shaking", she added honestly. "Oh, Allie. We'll manage, hm? A lot of people will throw a lot of shit but I won't. You know that. I'm here. We'll just cuddle and make you feel as safe and calm as possible", he told her squeezing her closer for a second and making her sigh with relief.
