Only a day after Thanksgiving, the next Cheifs game came along. Taylor was going to be in the stands again with Donna and they were both excited to be there once again. Travis loved to see his girl up there, Taylor loved to support him, and Donna almost saw Taylor as a third child when she was there. It had been more than helpful for Taylor to have someone there who not only knew the game but also Travis and the procedures around everything. At this point, she had learned a lot herself but the first few times, it has always been a relief to have Donna there. She could calm Taylor down if she got scared because it looked like Travis might have gotten hurt. And when they went down onto the field together after the qualification for the Superbowl, Taylor had held onto her arm for emotional support within the chaos of people until Travis could finally wrap his arms around her.
Today was no different. The two women had an electric time cheering for Travis and his team and they went home with another win. Travis and Taylor didn't take too much time to celebrate though because Taylor would have to leave for Canada soon and they wanted to spend as much time together as possible. "It sucks that I can't come to see the last show", he told her the night before her flight was scheduled. "And I can't be at the game", Taylor answered cuddled into his chest. "But it's just another game and for you... The biggest tour ever ends. I... wanna be there. Not just because I want to see it again and celebrate but also to... be there after. I'm assuming it's not an easy thing to let go of", he told her before kissing her head. "It won't be. So I'm not even gonna think about it until the last show because otherwise, I'll cry", she admitted honestly. "Just come home as soon as you want to, okay? I know the flight is scheduled for the next morning but if you want to take one last nightly flight just to be here a little earlier, I'll welcome you", he said. "And if you want to stay a little longer to say goodbye to everyone and all that, that's also fine. You should do what feels best for you, okay?", he added quickly. Taylor just nodded. She wasn't sure what she would end up doing.
"We should go to bed", Travis noted after another few minutes. The movie that they had watched was long over. Even the credits had run out a while ago. They were just so caught up in each other that they hadn't moved. As if the night would become longer that way and they'd have just a few more minutes before Taylor had to leave. But of course, he was right, and the night wouldn't magically become longer just because they didn't go to bed. And they both needed their energy the next day, so Taylor agreed and they finally got up to go to bed. "I'll miss seeing you on stage but I'm also pretty happy to have you all to myself for a lot more days", he whispered pulling her into his chest again after wrapping them both in the cozy blanket. "Can you try to keep me busy for a few days when I come back? I know, I need to rest and I will do that but if I just sit here alone for hours at a time, I'll have too much time to think and... end-of-tour-depression is real", she asked him. He squeezed her gently. "I'll do my best. Pat and Brit would love to make dinner plans with you again, I'm sure", he assured her.
They continued to talk until Taylor just fell asleep and stopped answering. Travis smiled a little and put a kiss on the top of her head before closing his eyes too. Just until the sharp sound of Taylor's alarm woke them both only a few hours later. She groaned, quickly shut it off, and hid her face in Travis' neck. He let his arm slide around her back and under her shirt up and down her bare back making her sigh. "When this tour is over, I won't set any alarms for at least the next year", she mumbled tiredly making him chuckle. "C'mon let's have breakfast together and then I'll come with you to the airport", he suggested. "Why would you come with me?", she asked confused looking up now. "Cause I want to", he just shrugged, so they got up then. And not long after, Travis did accompany Taylor to the airport. "Have fun in Canada. Rock that stage", he told her and kissed her before she could say anything. "I'll be right here when you come home. Promised", he added. "Thank you, Trav. And you win that game, okay?", she answered in a soft tone that just showed him how much she missed him already. It was the same for him though, so he hugged her tightly one more time. "I'll give it my all. I love you, Allie, don't forget that", he kissed her another time and she nodded. "I love you too", she answered but then Taylor really had to go. "Text me when you land. Be safe!", he called after her and she gave him a little nod as an agreement. Then Taylor boarded the plane and Travis looked after her until they started rolling for take-off. Then he had to go too because they had practice soon.
