The Singapore shows were fun. There was nothing else to concentrate on than the concerts and Taylor was just happy because she could be with Travis the whole rest of the time. They even took a flight back together and as much as it was boring to be on a plane for so long, it was better to do it together. In LA, they both got some time to cure the jet lag and relax a bit. The Coachella festival lay ahead and Taylor was so excited to go. She didn't get any info out of Travis about how he managed everything and what their day would look like exactly. He just told her to concentrate on which artists to see and what outfits to wear. And well, she did that.
"Okay, do you think this works with a cap?", she asked Travis about another outfit idea. He didn't get annoyed by her constantly changing outfits and asking him about them because he had thought about his outfit just as many times. "Maybe. This one?", he took a New Heights cap out of his suitcase and put it on her head with a grin. She checked herself in the mirror and grinned back at him. "Consider this to be mine now", she said and corrected the position of the cap a little. "You look perfect, babe", he smiled and let his arms slide around her from behind. "I'm so excited", she told him leaning against his chest. "That is impossible to oversee", he chuckled and kissed her on the cap. "I'm happy to take you there. I know, music is more your business than mine usually but I'd say I know a good bit about festivals", he added looking at her through the mirror. "You got your own. I trust you", she smiled making him smile too.
The night before the festival, Taylor was almost too excited to sleep. Travis managed to talk her to sleep again though and so they were both not too tired the next morning. They packed their stuff and started the drive from LA to the festival location. Taylor's excitement was contagious and they rambled to each other the whole car ride. In the hotel room, they didn't have much time and just got ready for the festival day. Before the actual festival activities started, they did the VIP duty of saying hello to some friends or other celebrities but Travis really wanted to make this as normal as possible for Taylor, so he got them some food before the first set they wanted to see. "So, where do we go?", Taylor asked trusting him fully to lead the way. "Well, where do people go to see a concert?", he asked back with a smile noticing their security getting ready but also smiling at them a little. "You know what I mean", she rolled her eyes waiting to go to the VIP area of this stage but he instead took her to the crowd.
"Where are we... are you insane?", she giggled nervously when she noticed. "No, I just want you to enjoy tonight as if noone was interested in you. Besides me of course", he said, and even though that was hard because there were cameras pointed at them almost immediately, she was happy. Excited and happy and in love and all of those positive feelings that made her grin and never stop. It didn't take her long to feel comfortable in the crowd because her security was close but also because Travis stood behind her like a rock to hold onto. He let her know where he was at every second and just danced and laughed with her not spending a single thought on the people around them.
The evening went on like that. He bent down sometimes, so they could talk into each other's ears, and every time one of them stole a kiss. Between sets, they went somewhere more private and more secure but Taylor could not have been happier. The kisses tasted extra sweet tonight and his hugs felt even warmer than usual. "Thank you so much for this, Trav", she told him once they were out of sight again for a minute. "You know, I like to go out with you", he just said. "No, I mean... you planned this and not just the way it would've been normal for me. You took me into the crowd... like... I can't tell you how much I love that. I... I love that you're not...", she tried to find the right words. "I'm not gonna hide what we have if that's what you mean. I'm proud to be with you and I don't care what anyone says, I think you deserve to have a normal night like this. Or at least... as normal as it can be", he told her sounding a bit tipsy and therefore fairly emotional. Taylor got lost in his eyes and pulled him down for a kiss.
"Ice Spice was my favorite yet", she realized making him smile about the quick change of topic. "She was fun! And Karma is a great song", he chuckled. "We have one more set to see, don't you think?", he asked looking at the clock. "One more crowd to get into", she smiled at turned to get going. He found his spot next to her again. "Won't be the last", he mumbled willing to do this again sometime. And so their security led them into the front rows of another artist's set. The energy was still up and that people were more and more drunk didn't stop the atmosphere from being electric, as Travis liked to call it. "What do you think, how many people are here?", she asked him after a quick look around. "Wanna see?", he smirked down at her. She just looked at him confused but Travis picked her up for a moment making her laugh. "And? How many?", he asked. Taylor just shook her head and pulled him in for a kiss. He hugged her pressing her head against his chest for a second making her smile even wider and lean into his touch.
The night ended late and they entered their hotel room fairly drunk. But Taylor wasn't as tired as she had been after the Super Bowl, so she was able to take care of her makeup and hair herself before falling into bed. "I'm so fucking happy", she mumbled into Travis' chest. "Oh, I am too. I love you, Tay", he answered combing through her hair with his fingers a few times. "I love you too", she sighed closing her eyes and drifting to sleep soon.
