„How do you feel about it?", Travis asked on the phone when Taylor told him that Joe, her ex, had said something about her new album. More specifically, a source close to him had said something but she was convinced that his management had come up with that and that it ultimately was his opinion. "I don't know. I don't really care... at least I don't want to care", she said honestly. "But you do. Of course, you do. What exactly bothers you?", Travis asked. "Maybe that he never even mentioned my name when he was asked for it even when we were still together and now, suddenly, there's no hesitation!", she yelled half-loud into the phone angrily. "Sorry", she mumbled immediately afterward. "I'm sure there has been hesitation. I mean, he doesn't even have the balls to say something himself. Instead, he has someone else talk to the media as a close source. C'mon, that's lame", Travis said with an audible eye-roll. "If it is a diss album, that's shady", she mocked Joe's accent making Travis chuckle a little.

"Like, does he even understand why we broke up? Besides... he's scared of a diss album before he even has an idea what it will be about. How scared is that man? Has he done something I don't know about? Cause I could fill like maybe half an album with diss tracks about him but a whole album? What's he expecting?", she asked making Travis laugh again. "He's just scared for his career. Sorry, his future career that I'm sure he's gonna have someday", he joked making Taylor laugh. "You can be so mean", she said. They both knew they were just making fun of her ex for the sake of it. There was nothing really behind it. Not anymore. "Do you think he has an idea that Matty will even be a topic?", Travis asked hating to bring his name up at all. "Doesn't sound like it. But it doesn't sound like he's considering anyone else to be a topic which is funny because we're official for how long again?", she asked jokingly.

"Is he that self-centered?", Travis carefully asked. "No. I don't think so. He's insecure, I guess. Scared, maybe. He'll be relieved when it comes out probably", she assumed. "Did you think about contacting him? Letting him know something beforehand?", Travis wanted to know. "Honestly, I thought about it because... I mean we've been together for six years. There's some goodwill involved after all but now that he had someone publish this bullshit? No. No, he can suffer until it comes out and then hopefully pass the baton to Matty", Taylor explained. By this time she felt not much for Joe anymore. Love was long gone but hate and anger were on their way out too. Matty on the other hand deserved to learn his lesson. To this day, she wasn't sure if it had ever been something serious to him. Because he had joked about marriage and all that but then ghosted her after two weeks that had felt like a beginning to her but seemed to be an end for him. They had had a one-time fling years ago and had stayed something like friends since. When times had gotten really tough with Joe, she had sometimes fantasized about him and they had started texting even before her long-term relationship had been over. As soon as Joe had been out of her house and the tears had subsided, Matty had consoled her. Well, distracted her would probably be more true. Pretty much noone knew about that part of the story and Taylor wanted to keep it that way.

"Tay?", Travis asked. "Hm? Sorry", she came back from her trip down memory lane. "You said you wanted Matty to suffer and I said, I could make that happen", he tried to sound confident. "What?! No!", she yelled but he already started laughing. "I'm not gonna punch people, Allie, don't worry", he revealed his joke making her chuckle too. Taylor sighed when they had stopped laughing. "I miss you", she told him. "I miss you too", he answered even though it had only been a few days since he had left. "Oh, I have a question for you", he then remembered something else. "Okay", she said waiting for him to ask. "Do you wanna come to Coachella with me?", he wanted to know. "What?", Taylor laughed. "Do you wanna come to Coachella with me?", he repeated. "Ahm... I mean", she stuttered. "Don't think of anything logistically. Just do you want to come to Coachella with me?", he asked again. "I mean, yes. If we...", she agreed and immediately got interrupted. "Okay. Then don't think about anything else. I'll take care of it. I'll talk to Tree and your security and whatever. You just think about your outfit and which artists you wanna see, deal?", he asked making her blush on the other end of the line. Was he for real? "Is this a date?", she asked. "I think so, yes", he answered. "Okay. Then... yeah. Sounds good", she finally agreed still not fully convinced that he could manage that.

Travis was even more convinced though. He took every minute of the next few days to plan things out. He wanted to go and see some sets with her as if she wasn't Taylor Swift. Because he knew that she would want to be in a crowd if she wasn't Taylor Swift. So he talked to Tree and told her about a hundred times that he was going to keep her safe and that he would have an eye on her alcohol consumption because they were in public and that they wouldn't forget that there'd be cameras pointed at them everywhere. The publicist didn't seem too excited about his idea but ultimately, he convinced her. Next, Travis talked to Taylor's security. He told them what he thought they would probably wanted to see and let them have some time to talk to the team of Coachella who of course knew how to deal with celebrities in attendance. He even had one of her security guards come around to have a little rundown of things to remember in big crowds. Travis had promised Tree to keep Taylor safe, so he wanted to learn how to defend her. She had no idea about everything that was going on behind her back. He wanted to have everything planned out for her so that she really just had to care about which sets to see and what outfit to wear. But first, he was gonna visit her in Singapore.
